Frequently Asked Questions
How often should you water a mixed batch of succulents? Every 2 weeks in summer, letting the soil dry completely between waterings — in winter, monthly watering is enough, as succulents enter dormancy and use very little water.
Can you mix succulents of different genera in the same pot? Yes, as long as they share the same light and watering needs — Echeveria, Sedum, and Crassula combine very well, while Haworthia, which tolerate shade better, deserve a slightly different spot.

🌵 18 assorted succulents • 🌞 Bright light to full sun • 💧 Water every 2 weeks • ✨ Varied shapes, textures, and colors • 📏 H10 cm | Pot Ø8.5 cm
This set of 18 assorted succulents brings together a graphic selection of fleshy plants with very diverse shapes, textures, and colors — Echeveria, Crassula, Haworthia, Sedum, Kalanchoe, and other species from the arid regions of Africa and America. Compact, sculptural, and nearly indestructible, they adapt perfectly to bright interiors and modern desert-style arrangements.
Resistant and low-maintenance, they are among the hardiest plants available in Verdeia’s cactus and succulents collection.
Light & Location
The succulents in this set are selected for their tolerance to bright light — this is their ideal condition to maintain intense colors and compact growth. They belong to the plants for bright light category and make the most of very sunny windows that few plants can exploit as well.
- Light: bright to full sun — ideally a south- or west-facing window, sunny windowsill or balcony.
- Certain species: like Haworthia, tolerate indirect light better — observe each plant individually to find its optimal spot.
- In winter: place pots in the brightest available space to maintain vitality.
- Temperature: 18 to 28 °C — tolerate heat and dry air very well.
Arrange your 18 succulents on a large ceramic tray or a wide windowsill — the variety of shapes and textures creates a very graphic plant composition effortlessly.
Watering & Care
Succulents store water in their fleshy leaves — they always prefer lack of water to excess. This is the fundamental principle of caring for indoor fleshy plants.
- Frequency: about every 2 weeks — water only when the soil is completely dry.
- In winter: monthly watering is enough — succulents enter dormancy and consume very little.
- Absolutely avoid: stagnant water in the decorative pot or saucer, the main cause of root rot.
- Soil: well-draining cactus-type substrate, avoid hard water.
- Cleaning: dust leaves with a dry brush — avoid spraying directly, stagnant moisture causes spots on fleshy foliage.
Observe each succulent individually rather than watering all at once — some species like Echeveria dry faster than Haworthia under the same conditions.
Decor Ideas & Plant Combinations
The variety of shapes and textures in the set of 18 succulents allows for very diverse compositions — from a minimalist desk tray to an elaborate terrarium, each arrangement reveals a different personality depending on the selected species.
- For a very graphic desert-style centerpiece, group the 18 succulents on a large ceramic tray with fine sand and decorative gravel — the different heights and shapes naturally create a very balanced miniature composition without any styling effort.
- To enrich the composition with large plants, combine some succulents at the base of a Euphorbia acrurensis or a Beaucarnea nolina — small succulents as ground cover and large architectural silhouettes create a very realistic desert landscape effect.
- For a green office without hassle, place 3 to 4 succulents in small matte ceramic decorative pots in different colors — concrete, terracotta, white, or black — each becomes a very graphic standalone decorative object on a desk.
- In a collective terrarium, gather them in a glass container with layers of sand, gravel, and activated charcoal — genera with very distinct shapes (rosette Echeveria, stem Crassula, fan-shaped Haworthia) create a lively desert microcosm.
Verdeia Tips
- Vary light exposure to observe color nuances: depending on the light received, succulent hues change — in full sun, Echeveria take on pink or orange tones, Sedum intensify, Haworthia stay lighter in partial shade.
- Repot once a year in spring with fresh soil: small 8.5 cm pots quickly become nutrient-saturated — annual repotting in renewed special cactus substrate stimulates growth and maintains intense colors. Our guide on repotting plants also applies to succulents.
- Avoid spraying leaves directly: unlike tropical plants, succulents do not like leaf moisture — stagnant water between fleshy leaves promotes rot and permanent spots on foliage.

Will the plant look exactly like the photo?
The photos accurately represent the variety and the stated size. Since each plant is unique, slight differences in shape, foliage, or color may occur — and that’s part of their charm.
What are the delivery times and conditions?
Shipping is done within 48 business hours, with tracked delivery within 2 to 5 business days. Delivery costs €5.60 — free for orders over €50. You will receive a tracking link as soon as the package is shipped.
What to do upon receiving my plant?
Open your package as soon as you receive it and carefully remove the plant from its packaging. Let it acclimate for 24 hours in its new environment before watering. If it has been slightly stressed during transport, it will recover its shape after one or two days in the light.
What to do if my plant arrives damaged?
Contact us within 48 hours with a photo of the issue. Our team will assess the situation and offer you the best solution: replacement, partial refund, or recovery advice.
