Frequently Asked Questions
Why do the leaves of Pilea peperomioides become asymmetrical? Pilea naturally grows toward the light source — rotate the pot a quarter turn each week to maintain the plant’s characteristic round and balanced shape.
Is Peperomia Rosso easy to care for a beginner? Yes — it’s one of the hardiest Peperomias, tolerates missed waterings well, and easily adapts to the conditions of a bright urban apartment.

🌿 Peperomia Rosso + Pilea peperomioides • 🎨 Graphic contrasting foliage • ☀️ Indirect light • 💧 Moderate watering • 🐾 Non-toxic • 📏 H15 cm | Pot Ø10.5 cm
The Peperomia Rosso & Pilea peperomioides Duo combines two iconic and complementary indoor plants. The Peperomia Rosso captivates with its dark green leaves veined in deep red and its compact form. The Pilea peperomioides, or Chinese money plant, charms with its round, bright leaves — a graphic and elegant duo, easy to care for and non-toxic.
Discover it in our Peperomia collection and in our Pilea collection.
Exposure & Location
These two plants enjoy soft, indirect light — their needs are perfectly compatible, making it easy to care for them side by side.
- Exposure: partial shade to bright indirect light — avoid direct sunlight which can burn the leaves.
- Ideal: table, shelf, east- or north-facing windowsill, bright desk.
- Temperature: 18 to 26 °C, protected from drafts.
- Humidity: normal — well adapted to urban indoor conditions.
Place them side by side behind a sheer curtain — filtered light enhances the reddish highlights of the Peperomia and maintains the roundness of the Pilea’s leaves.
Watering & Care
Both plants prefer a slightly moist substrate — neither too dry nor waterlogged. Check out our watering guide to find the right rhythm.
- Watering: moderate — let the top layer of soil dry out between waterings.
- Water: room temperature and low in lime for both plants.
- Fertilizer: every 2 to 3 weeks in spring and summer with a mild liquid fertilizer.
- Care: regularly dust the leaves with a soft, damp cloth.
Peperomia is more sensitive to overwatering than Pilea — always wait until the surface is dry before watering, even in summer.
Decor Ideas & Plant Pairings
The soothing roundness of the Pilea and the sophisticated reddish veins of the Peperomia Rosso create a balanced visual contrast — a duo that works well alone or integrated into a larger arrangement.
- In combination: enhance the arrangement with a Syngonium Pixie or a Calathea Makoyana — similar needs, complementary foliage.
- Ideal decorative pots: a pair of matching white ceramic decorative pots with relief highlights the contrast of the two types of foliage without competing with them.
- Placement: place them side by side or on two levels to play with volume and texture.
Verdeia Tips
- Rotate the Pilea regularly — Pilea peperomioides naturally grows toward the light and its leaves become asymmetrical if not turned. A quarter turn per week is enough to maintain the plant’s characteristic round and balanced shape.
- Mist the Peperomia — not the Pilea — Peperomia Rosso appreciates light misting during dry periods to keep its veined leaves vibrant. Pilea, on the other hand, prefers dry air — mist selectively or use a humidifier at a distance.
- Non-toxic duo — neither Peperomia nor Pilea pose risks to cats, dogs, or children, making this duo ideal for all households.

FAQ – Everything to know before adopting your Verdeia plant
How are my plants prepared before shipping?
All our plants are selected from our European partner nurseries. Before shipping, they are watered, cleaned, and protected with breathable, secure packaging. Each package is designed to ensure your plant arrives in perfect health, without any transport-related stress.
Will the plant look exactly like the photo?
The photos accurately represent the variety and the stated size. Since each plant is unique, slight differences in shape, foliage, or color may occur — and that’s part of their charm.
What are the delivery times and conditions?
Shipping is done within 48 business hours, with tracked delivery within 2 to 5 business days. Delivery costs €5.60 — free for orders over €50. You will receive a tracking link as soon as the package is shipped.
What to do upon receiving my plant?
Open your package as soon as you receive it and carefully remove the plant from its packaging. Let it acclimate for 24 hours in its new environment before watering. If it has been slightly stressed during transport, it will recover its shape after one or two days in the light.
What to do if my plant arrives damaged?
Contact us within 48 hours with a photo of the issue. Our team will assess the situation and offer you the best solution: replacement, partial refund, or recovery advice.
Can I return a plant?
Since plants are living beings, standard returns are not possible. However, we guarantee good health upon delivery: if the plant arrives damaged, it will be replaced free of charge. For any other cases (order error, decorative pot, accessory), returns are possible within 14 days.
