🌸 Unique pink foliage • 🌤️ Indirect light / Partial shade • 💧 Moderate watering • ✨ Easy care • 📏 H30 cm | Pot Ø14 cm
The Syngonium Red Heart, also called Syngonium pink heart, is a tropical indoor plant with arrow-shaped leaves tinted with shades of pink, soft green, and cream. Its delicate foliage, with gradients that change depending on the light received, immediately adds a soft and graphic touch to any interior — a light plant presence in a compact size.
Native to the tropical forests of Central and South America, it adapts perfectly to apartment life and is among the most sought-after Syngoniums for its unique coloring. Its flexible growth habit — climbing on a stake or freely trailing — makes it one of the most versatile plants in our selection of trailing and decorative plants, alongside other easy-care houseplants.
Exposure & Location
The Syngonium Red Heart enjoys indirect light and adapts well to dim environments — one of the qualities that makes it ideal for north-facing apartments or offices away from windows. However, note that the less light it receives, the more the pink shades fade in favor of green. For more information, see our guide on plants suited to each room.
- Ideal exposure: soft indirect light to partial shade — east or north window, filtered sill.
- Tolerates: low-light corners, offices without direct light.
- Avoid: direct sun that burns and fades the pink foliage.
- Temperature: 18–26 °C, stable year-round, no drafts.
- Substrate: light and well-draining — universal potting soil with perlite.
Each plant is unique: the intensity and shades of pink naturally vary depending on the light and season.
Watering & Care
The Syngonium Red Heart is easy to care for and forgiving of occasional forgetfulness. Use the finger test method to avoid watering too soon: the substrate should dry slightly on the surface between waterings.
- Watering: moderate — allow the surface of the substrate to dry slightly before watering.
- Frequency: about once a week in summer, every 10 days in winter.
- Water: room temperature water to avoid shocking the roots.
- Humidity: mist the foliage occasionally, especially in heated apartments during winter.
- Drainage: essential — pot must have drainage holes, empty saucer after watering.
- Fertilizer: liquid fertilizer for green plants, every 3 weeks in spring and summer.
Each plant is unique: watering frequency naturally varies depending on pot size, ambient temperature, and season.
Decor Ideas & Plant Combinations
With its unique pink tones, the Syngonium Red Heart adds a soft and colorful note that few plants can offer in such a compact size. To create a tropical atmosphere around it, check out our ideas for creating a calming plant corner at home.
- In a pink-themed arrangement: pair it with a pink or red Aglaonema for a colorful tropical duo — the two foliage types complement each other in warm shades without competing.
- On a shelf or desk: its compact H30 cm size fits perfectly in a workspace or bookshelf — place it in a matte pink Groovy pot for immediate color harmony with the pink foliage.
- As a trailing hanging plant: left free without a stake, it spreads its flexible stems for an airy trailing effect — ideal in a suspended natural Selin basket.
- In a trio of soft tones: combine it with a Calathea and a cream Peperomia for a decorative mix of textures and pastel tones on a low piece of furniture or console table.
Verdeia Tips
- Pinch the tips to thicken: lightly trimming the stem tips encourages branching and gives the Syngonium a more compact, bushy habit — much more decorative than a stretched silhouette with a single stem.
- Rotate the pot regularly: the Syngonium naturally grows toward the light — turning it a quarter turn every 2 weeks ensures even growth and prevents stems from leaning to one side.
- Choose its final location upon arrival: like most tropical plants, it doesn’t like frequent moves — set it once in its permanent spot and let it acclimate.

Will the plant look exactly like the photo?
The photos accurately represent the variety and the stated size. Since each plant is unique, slight differences in shape, foliage, or color may occur — and that’s part of their charm.
What are the delivery times and conditions?
Shipping is done within 48 business hours, with tracked delivery within 2 to 5 business days. Delivery costs €5.60 — free for orders over €50. You will receive a tracking link as soon as the package is shipped.
What to do upon receiving my plant?
Open your package as soon as you receive it and carefully remove the plant from its packaging. Let it acclimate for 24 hours in its new environment before watering. If it has been slightly stressed during transport, it will recover its shape after one or two days in the light.
What to do if my plant arrives damaged?
Contact us within 48 hours with a photo of the issue. Our team will assess the situation and offer you the best solution: replacement, partial refund, or recovery advice.
Can I return a plant?
