Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between Epipremnum pinnatum 'Cebu Blue' and a Golden Pothos? The 'Cebu Blue' has lance-shaped leaves with metallic blue-green silver reflections, while the Golden Pothos has bright green oval leaves marbled with yellow — equally easy to care for, two radically different foliage types.
Can Epipremnum pinnatum 'Cebu Blue' be grown in water? Yes, like all Pothos it roots and grows easily in a vase of water with indirect light — change the water every 7 to 10 days to prevent stagnation.

🌿 Silver-blue green lanceolate foliage • ☀️ Bright indirect light • 💧 Moderate watering • 🌱 Climbing or trailing • 🐾 Toxic to pets
Discovered on the island of Cebu in the Philippines, Epipremnum pinnatum 'Cebu Blue' is a rare variety that has become a highly sought-after collector's plant for its lanceolate leaves with metallic silver-blue green reflections — a unique shade in the Araceae family. A climbing epiphyte in its natural habitat, it can be grown on a moss stake to develop large leaves that fenestrate with age, or left to trail freely from a shelf among our indoor climbing and trailing plants.
Which Epipremnum variety to choose?
The Epipremnum genus includes several varieties with very different foliage — here’s how 'Cebu Blue' ranks among the main ones in the catalog:
- Epipremnum pinnatum 'Cebu Blue' (this plant) — silver-blue green lanceolate leaves with metallic reflections, climbing or trailing habit, 3 sizes (H20 cm | Pot Ø12 cm / H60 cm and H65 cm | Pot Ø17 cm). The rarest and most original version.
- Epipremnum Golden Pothos — bright green oval leaves marbled with golden yellow, trailing or climbing habit. The most classic and easiest version.
- Epipremnum 'Marble Queen' — oval leaves variegated cream white and green, trailing habit. The brightest version.
- Epipremnum pinnatum Albo Variegata — pinnate leaves variegated white and green, very rare. The most sought-after collector’s version.
- Scindapsus pictus 'Trebie' — dark green oval leaves speckled with matte silver, trailing habit. The velvety silver version.
Light & location
- Light: bright indirect to bright partial shade — the brighter the light, the more intense the silver-blue reflections. In shade, the foliage turns ordinary green.
- Ideal: bright living room, office, high shelf, or hanging near an East or West-facing window.
- Temperature: 18 to 27 °C, without sudden changes.
- Substrate: light, airy, and well-drained — potting soil for green plants mixed with perlite and bark.
Watering & care
- Watering: moderate — let the top 2 to 3 cm of substrate dry out between waterings, as with all Pothos where reasoned watering is key to longevity.
- Frequency: about once a week in spring-summer, reduced in winter.
- Drainage: essential — pot with drainage holes and saucer.
- Humidity: adapts to dry to medium humidity — tolerates dry air well.
- Fertilizer: every 2 to 3 weeks in spring-summer, diluted liquid fertilizer.
- Support: stake on a moss stake to encourage climbing growth and the development of larger, fenestrated leaves with age.
Decor ideas & plant combinations
- On a stake: guided on a moss stake, it develops increasingly large leaves and spectacular fenestrations — pair it with a Monstera Deliciosa to play with two cut-leaf foliage at two different scales.
- Trailing: left free from a high shelf, its silver lanceolate leaves create a very graphic green curtain — pair it with a Golden Pothos for a green-gold / blue-silver contrast.
- Ideal pot: a blue ceramic decorative pot with relief complements the silver-blue reflections of the foliage, or a Brussels anthracite for a more graphic contrast.
Verdeia tips
- Keep bright light to preserve the silver reflections: this is the main condition for the foliage to retain its characteristic blue-green shades — in shade, new leaves grow back ordinary green without reflection.
- Propagate easily: cut a stem with at least one node and place it in a glass of water — propagating plants by cuttings is especially simple with this species, which roots in 2 to 3 weeks.
- Keep the moss stake moist regularly: a moist moss stake encourages aerial roots to cling and stimulates the development of larger, more cut leaves over time.

Will the plant look exactly like the photo?
The photos accurately represent the variety and the stated size. Since each plant is unique, slight differences in shape, foliage, or color may occur — and that’s part of their charm.
What are the delivery times and conditions?
Shipping is done within 48 business hours, with tracked delivery within 2 to 5 business days. Delivery costs €5.60 — free for orders over €50. You will receive a tracking link as soon as the package is shipped.
What to do upon receiving my plant?
Open your package as soon as you receive it and carefully remove the plant from its packaging. Let it acclimate for 24 hours in its new environment before watering. If it has been slightly stressed during transport, it will recover its shape after one or two days in the light.
What to do if my plant arrives damaged?
Contact us within 48 hours with a photo of the issue. Our team will assess the situation and offer you the best solution: replacement, partial refund, or recovery advice.
Can I return a plant?
