Frequently Asked Questions
Why are the white bracts of my Anthurium turning yellow? Excess direct light is the most common cause — move the plant to a gentler, indirect exposure, and new bracts will grow back white.
How often does the White Anthurium bloom? Under optimal conditions, it blooms almost continuously, producing new bracts every 6 to 8 weeks — consistent watering and a monthly feed of flowering fertilizer are the two most important factors.

🌸 Pure waxy white bracts • 🌿 Glossy green foliage • 🌤️ Bright interior / Partial shade • 💧 Moderate watering • 📏 H43 cm | Pot Ø12 cm
Anthurium White, also called White Flamingo, brightens interiors with its pure white waxy bracts contrasting with deep glossy green foliage. Native to Colombia, this plant blooms almost continuously — its bracts last several weeks before renewing. Discover our full collection of flowering plants.
Its white flowering makes it an exceptional gift — our guide to gifting plants explains why Anthurium is one of the most appreciated choices all year round.
Exposure & Location
Anthurium White prefers soft light and bright rooms without direct sunlight — direct sun fades the white bracts and burns the glossy foliage.
- Exposure: bright interior with partial shade — ideal indirect light.
- Ideal for: living room, office, bedroom, elegant entrance.
- Temperature: 18 to 25 °C, protected from drafts.
- Substrate: light, well-drained potting soil, tropical plant type.
Watering & Care
- Watering: moderate — keep the substrate slightly moist without excess. Use room temperature water, preferably non-calcareous. Our light and humidity guide helps you find the right balance.
- Frequency: about once a week in summer, every 10 days in winter.
- Humidity: enjoys a humid atmosphere — mist the foliage regularly or place the pot on a bed of moist clay pebbles.
- Fertilizer: once a month in spring and summer, special fertilizer for flowering plants.
- Care: remove faded bracts to encourage the next bloom — clean leaves with a damp cloth to maintain their shine.
Decor Ideas & Plant Combinations
Its pure white bracts add visual brightness to a plant arrangement — they act as a natural focal point without overwhelming the decor.
- In a white floral duo: pair it with Spathiphyllum Torelli with white spathes — two white-flowering plants, two different flower shapes, same care logic, coherent and elegant floral composition.
- In contrast with colorful Anthuriums: pair it with the bright red Anthurium Calon or the burgundy Anthurium Black Love — the three colors together create a spectacular floral composition in the same style.
- Decorative pot: a white ceramic or matte beige stoneware enhances the purity of the bracts without creating a competing contrast.
Verdeia Tips
- Avoid direct sunlight: white bracts are particularly sensitive — even a few hours of direct sun can yellow or irreversibly fade them.
- Non-calcareous water required: lime deposits on glossy leaves are very visible and hard to remove — use filtered water or water left out for 24 hours.
- Remove faded bracts at the base: cut the entire stem at leaf level as soon as a bract wilts — this stimulates new bud production and keeps the plant in an active flowering cycle.

Will the plant look exactly like the photo?
The photos accurately represent the variety and the stated size. Since each plant is unique, slight differences in shape, foliage, or color may occur — and that’s part of their charm.
What are the delivery times and conditions?
Shipping is done within 48 business hours, with tracked delivery within 2 to 5 business days. Delivery costs €5.60 — free for orders over €50. You will receive a tracking link as soon as the package is shipped.
What to do upon receiving my plant?
Open your package as soon as you receive it and carefully remove the plant from its packaging. Let it acclimate for 24 hours in its new environment before watering. If it has been slightly stressed during transport, it will recover its shape after one or two days in the light.
What to do if my plant arrives damaged?
Contact us within 48 hours with a photo of the issue. Our team will assess the situation and offer you the best solution: replacement, partial refund, or recovery advice.
Can I return a plant?
