🌺 Intense long-lasting red bloom • 🌿 Dark green fleshy foliage • ☀️ Bright light • 💧 Very low watering • 🪴 Shiny copper ceramic pot included • 📏 H27 cm | Pot Ø12 cm
The Red Kalanchoe (Kalanchoe blossfeldiana) is a flowering succulent plant native to Madagascar, known for its long-lasting clusters of small, intense red flowers. Robust and easy to care for, it comes in its included shiny cylindrical copper ceramic pot — the bright red flowers and glossy copper pot create a warm and sophisticated composition with strong visual impact, ready to display.
Also discover our other colors: Red Kalanchoe in white pot, Pink Kalanchoe in copper pot. Explore them in our indoor flowering plants collection and in our selection of plants that bloom year-round.
Exposure & Location
The Kalanchoe is a light-loving plant — the more light it receives, the more abundant and long-lasting its blooms.
- Exposure: bright to very bright light — tolerates a few hours of gentle direct sunlight.
- Ideal: sunny windowsill, bright office, console table near a bay window.
- Temperature: 15 to 25 °C, protected from cold drafts.
- Substrate: very well-draining — cactus soil mixed with sand or perlite.
A south- or east-facing windowsill is ideal — morning direct light stimulates blooming and intensifies the bright red petals.
Watering & Care
As a succulent, the Kalanchoe requires very little water — excess moisture is its only real threat. Check our watering guide to find the right rhythm.
- Watering: low — wait until the substrate is completely dry before watering.
- Frequency: about every 10 to 14 days in summer, once a month in winter.
- Drainage: essential — never water on the leaves or flowers.
- Blooming: remove faded flowers to encourage new buds.
- Fertilizer: every 4 weeks during blooming with diluted liquid fertilizer for flowering plants.
Soft or translucent leaves indicate overwatering — immediately space out watering and let the substrate dry completely before resuming.
Decor Ideas & Plant Pairings
The bright red flowers and glossy copper pot create a warm-toned, high-impact combination — a composition that immediately catches the eye and brings intensity and warmth to any interior.
- In combination: pair it with a Zamioculcas or a White Kalanchoe in copper pot for a harmonious arrangement in the same range of metallic pots — red and white enhance each other.
- Pot included: the shiny cylindrical copper ceramic pot is included — the set is ready to display with nothing to add.
- Ambiance: perfect on a desk, coffee table, or windowsill — the glossy copper amplifies the red’s intensity and creates a luxurious, warm decorative accent.
Verdeia Tips
- Bright light for long-lasting blooms — place it in the brightest spot available. The more light it receives, the more red buds it produces and the longer it blooms. In a dark spot, buds stay closed and the plant quickly weakens.
- Encourage new blooming — after the main bloom, place the Kalanchoe in a cool spot (15–17 °C) with long nights for 4 to 6 weeks. Check our blooming calendar to anticipate cycles.
- Never mist — Kalanchoe is a succulent that dislikes moisture on its leaves and flowers. Water only at the base and never use a spray bottle.
- Maintain the copper pot — occasionally wipe the copper surface with a soft, slightly damp cloth to keep its shiny glow. Avoid abrasive products that dull the metallic finish.

FAQ – Everything to know before adopting your Verdeia plant
How are my plants prepared before shipping?
All our plants are selected from our European partner nurseries. Before shipping, they are watered, cleaned, and protected with breathable, secure packaging. Each package is designed to ensure your plant arrives in perfect health, without any transport-related stress.
Will the plant look exactly like the photo?
The photos accurately represent the variety and the stated size. Since each plant is unique, slight differences in shape, foliage, or color may occur — and that’s part of their charm.
What are the delivery times and conditions?
Shipping is done within 48 business hours, with tracked delivery within 2 to 5 business days. Delivery costs €5.60 — free for orders over €50. You will receive a tracking link as soon as the package is shipped.
What to do upon receiving my plant?
Open your package as soon as you receive it and carefully remove the plant from its packaging. Let it acclimate for 24 hours in its new environment before watering. If it has been slightly stressed during transport, it will recover its shape after one or two days in the light.
What to do if my plant arrives damaged?
Contact us within 48 hours with a photo of the issue. Our team will assess the situation and offer you the best solution: replacement, partial refund, or recovery advice.
Can I return a plant?
Since plants are living beings, standard returns are not possible. However, we guarantee good health upon delivery: if the plant arrives damaged, it will be replaced free of charge. For any other cases (order error, decorative pot, accessory), returns are possible within 14 days.
