- The braided trunk is a permanent signature — the intertwined stems of the Pachira do not come undone over time. This is a stable genetic and cultural feature that makes this plant unique. Do not try to untangle or re-braid them yourself.
- Less water is better than too much — Pachira tolerates slight dryness much better than excess moisture. If in doubt, wait another 2 to 3 days before watering. Yellow leaves are the first sign of overwatering.

Open your package as soon as you receive it and carefully remove the plant from its packaging. Let it acclimate for 24 hours in its new environment before watering. If it has been slightly stressed during transport, it will recover its shape after one or two days in the light.
What to do if my plant arrives damaged?
