🐾 Non-toxic • 🌿 Soft green foliage with silver marbled patterns • ☀️ Indirect light • 💧 Moderate watering • 📏 H20 cm | Decorative pot Ø13 cm
The Pilea 'Mojito' is a compact plant native to the tropical forests of Vietnam, prized for its light green leaves adorned with irregular silver marbled patterns — a rare bright and refreshing natural graphic among Pileas. Its fast growth and minimal care make it an ideal plant for shelves and desks. Discover our collection of easy-care plants.
The brighter the light (without direct sun), the more intense the silver patterns — in partial shade, the leaves gradually turn greener. Our guide to creating a tropical atmosphere will give you ideas for pairing it with other species.
Exposure & Location
The Pilea 'Mojito' prefers bright indirect light to maintain its striking silver patterns — this is the most important factor to preserve its distinctive visual character.
- Exposure: bright indirect to partial shade — avoid direct sunlight.
- Ideal for: office, shelf, windowsill, bedroom, kitchen.
- Temperature: 18 to 27 °C, without sudden changes.
- Substrate: light, rich, and well-drained — universal potting soil with perlite.
Watering & Care
- Watering: moderate — allow the surface of the substrate to dry between waterings. Our guide to 10 easy plants explains why Pilea is one of the most forgiving plants in the catalog.
- Frequency: about once a week in spring-summer, every two weeks in winter.
- Humidity: prefers 50 to 70% humidity — mist occasionally or group plants together.
- Fertilizer: once a month in spring and summer, diluted liquid fertilizer for green plants.
- Pruning: pinch stems to encourage branching and a bushier shape.
Decor Ideas & Plant Pairings
Its silver marbled patterns make it a bright accent plant — it adds lightness and visual freshness to a composition of uniform green foliage.
- In a Pilea collection: pair it with Pilea peperomioides with its bright round green leaves and the trailing miniature Pilea depressa — three Pileas, three radically different shapes and textures, same genus, same care.
- For pattern contrast: pair it with a Peperomia caperata Rosso with its burgundy puckered foliage — Mojito’s silver patterns vs. Rosso’s burgundy texture, two compact plants with strong visual character.
- Decorative pot: a matte white, gray, or terracotta ceramic highlights the silver patterns without competing with them.
Verdeia Tips
- More light = more silver: place it in the brightest spot available without direct sun — the silver patterns intensify directly under bright light and fade in partial shade.
- Pinch regularly: cut the ends of overly long stems just above a node — the plant will branch out, increasing density and maintaining a compact, bushy shape.
- Rotate the pot monthly: regular rotation ensures even growth and prevents stems from leaning toward the light source on one side only.

FAQ – Everything to know before adopting your Verdeia plant
How are my plants prepared before shipping?
All our plants are selected from our European partner nurseries. Before shipping, they are watered, cleaned, and protected with breathable, secure packaging. Each package is designed to ensure your plant arrives in perfect health, without any transport-related stress.
Will the plant look exactly like the photo?
The photos accurately represent the variety and the stated size. Since each plant is unique, slight differences in shape, foliage, or color may occur — and that’s part of their charm.
What are the delivery times and conditions?
Shipping is done within 48 business hours, with tracked delivery within 2 to 5 business days. Delivery costs €5.60 — free for orders over €50. You will receive a tracking link as soon as the package is shipped.
What to do upon receiving my plant?
Open your package as soon as you receive it and carefully remove the plant from its packaging. Let it acclimate for 24 hours in its new environment before watering. If it has been slightly stressed during transport, it will recover its shape after one or two days in the light.
What to do if my plant arrives damaged?
Contact us within 48 hours with a photo of the issue. Our team will assess the situation and offer you the best solution: replacement, partial refund, or recovery advice.
Can I return a plant?
Since plants are living beings, standard returns are not possible. However, we guarantee good health upon delivery: if the plant arrives damaged, it will be replaced free of charge. For any other cases (order error, decorative pot, accessory), returns are possible within 14 days.
