🌿 Thin stems and linear leaves • ☀️ Bright indirect light • 💧 Low watering • 🌱 Very easy • 🐾 Non-toxic
Native to South Africa, the Ceropegia linearis 'Remy' is a trailing succulent related to the famous Ceropegia woodii — but while the latter has heart-shaped leaves, the 'Remy' develops thin, elongated leaves that adorn its cascading stems with a uniquely graphic and minimalist effect. Its stems can reach several dozen centimeters and create a delicate green curtain, among the most elegant in our trailing plants collection and our original and rare plants.
Which Ceropegia to choose?
Three varieties of Ceropegia are available in our catalog, each with distinct foliage:
- Ceropegia linearis 'Remy' (this plant) — thin, dark green linear leaves, delicate trailing stems (H38 cm | Pot Ø14 cm). The most graphic and minimalist version.
- Ceropegia woodii — small heart-shaped leaves marbled green and silver, threadlike stems (H50 cm | Pot Ø14 cm). The most romantic and well-known version.
- Ceropegia linearis 'Iris' — linear leaves with slightly different shades. The alternative version of the same species.
Light & location
- Light: bright indirect light with a few hours of gentle sun — avoid harsh midday sun that dries out the thin leaves.
- Ideal: hanging near a bright window, high shelf, east- or west-facing windowsill.
- Temperature: 15 to 25 °C — tolerates cool temperatures down to 10 °C in winter.
- Substrate: very well-draining — special cactus and succulent mix (potting soil, sand, perlite).
Watering & care
- Watering: low — allow the substrate to dry out completely between waterings. Its stems store water and easily tolerate missed waterings — it is one of the most drought-tolerant indoor succulents.
- Frequency: every 2 weeks in spring-summer, once a month in winter.
- Drainage: essential — pot with drainage hole and very well-draining substrate.
- Humidity: perfectly tolerates dry air — no need for misting.
- Fertilizer: once a month in spring-summer, cactus fertilizer diluted to half strength.
- Pruning: trim overly long stems in spring to encourage branching.
Decor ideas & plant combinations
- Graphic trailing trio: pair it with a Ceropegia woodii with heart-shaped leaves and a Senecio herreianus with round beads — three radically different trailing stem textures for a very graphic trailing plant arrangement.
- Hanging: its thin stems freely spread from a height of 80 to 100 cm create an airy, minimalist green curtain — perfect in a living room corner or near a bright window.
- Ideal pot: matte white ceramic or terracotta to highlight the dark green linear leaves — avoid pots that are too dark which diminish the contrast of the fine foliage.
Verdeia tips
- Propagate easily in spring: cut an 8 to 10 cm stem, let the cut dry for 2 to 3 days before planting it in dry substrate — propagating plants by cuttings is especially simple with this species.
- Trim overly long stems: pinching the tips in spring stimulates branching and keeps a dense, bushy habit rather than sparse, threadlike stems.
- Wait for flowers in summer: with good light, Ceropegia linearis 'Remy' produces small spectacular purple tubular flowers — an unexpected decorative bonus for such a discreet succulent.

Will the plant look exactly like the photo?
The photos accurately represent the variety and the stated size. Since each plant is unique, slight differences in shape, foliage, or color may occur — and that’s part of their charm.
What are the delivery times and conditions?
Shipping is done within 48 business hours, with tracked delivery within 2 to 5 business days. Delivery costs €5.60 — free for orders over €50. You will receive a tracking link as soon as the package is shipped.
What to do upon receiving my plant?
Open your package as soon as you receive it and carefully remove the plant from its packaging. Let it acclimate for 24 hours in its new environment before watering. If it has been slightly stressed during transport, it will recover its shape after one or two days in the light.
What to do if my plant arrives damaged?
Contact us within 48 hours with a photo of the issue. Our team will assess the situation and offer you the best solution: replacement, partial refund, or recovery advice.
Can I return a plant?
Since plants are living beings, standard returns are not possible. However, we guarantee good health upon delivery: if the plant arrives damaged, it will be replaced free of charge. For any other cases (order error, decorative pot, accessory), returns are possible within 14 days.
