Frequently Asked Questions
Can a Kalanchoe be placed on the balcony in summer? Yes — it enjoys warmth and full summer sun, but bring it inside as soon as temperatures drop below 15 °C because it does not tolerate cold.
Why is my Kalanchoe no longer blooming? Lack of light or no winter rest period are the most common causes — place it in a sunnier spot and reduce watering in winter to trigger new flowering.

🌸 Bright red flowering • 🌿 Succulent foliage • ☀️ Bright indoor / Sun • 💧 Low watering • 📏 H27 cm | Pot Ø12 cm
The Kalanchoe 'Rosalina Don Justino', also called Flame Flower, is a succulent with generous flowering native to Madagascar — its clusters of small bright red flowers brighten interiors for several weeks. Its succulent foliage stores water, allowing it to withstand missed waterings without damage. Discover our full collection of flowering plants and our cacti and succulents.
Compact and colorful, it adds a cheerful and sunny touch to a desk, coffee table, or windowsill.
Exposure & Location
The Kalanchoe Rosalina Don Justino loves very bright spots and tolerates a few hours of direct sun — it is one of the few flowering succulents that truly thrives in full indoor sun. Our flowering calendar shows you how to make it bloom season after season.
- Exposure: full sun or very bright indoor — south or west-facing window ideal.
- Ideal for: sunny windowsill, desk, bright coffee table.
- Temperature: 18 to 25 °C, protect from cold and drafts.
- Substrate: well-draining — soil for succulents.
Watering & Care
- Watering: low — water only when the substrate is completely dry. Standing water is the main cause of Kalanchoe loss.
- Drainage: essential — pot with drainage hole and a layer of clay pebbles at the bottom.
- Fertilizer: every 3 weeks during flowering, use fertilizer for flowering plants.
- Pruning: pinch stems after flowering to encourage branching and prepare for the next bloom.
- Winter rest: greatly reduce watering in winter — our indoor plants in winter guide explains how to manage this period.
Decor Ideas & Plant Combinations
Its bright red flowers make it a chromatic accent plant — it works especially well placed among a group of succulents with neutral green foliage that let its color stand out.
- In succulent arrangements: pair it with a Crassula tenelli and an Aloe vera — three succulents, three different shapes, same watering logic, coherent and hassle-free composition.
- In a Kalanchoe duo: combine it with the pink Kalanchoe — same variety, two complementary colors, instant tray effect.
- Decorative pot: a terracotta or white ceramic pot highlights the bright red flowers without competing — avoid warm tones that blend into the flower color.
Verdeia Tips
- Remove faded flowers: cut off flower stalks as soon as they lose their brightness — this stimulates new stem growth and extends the overall flowering period.
- Give it maximum light: the more sun it receives, the more abundant and lasting the flowering — this is the most important factor for this Kalanchoe.
- Keep it dry in winter: drastically reduce watering from November to February — a short rest period in dry, cool conditions (15–17 °C) triggers spectacular new blooms in spring.

Will the plant look exactly like the photo?
The photos accurately represent the variety and the stated size. Since each plant is unique, slight differences in shape, foliage, or color may occur — and that’s part of their charm.
What are the delivery times and conditions?
Shipping is done within 48 business hours, with tracked delivery within 2 to 5 business days. Delivery costs €5.60 — free for orders over €50. You will receive a tracking link as soon as the package is shipped.
What to do upon receiving my plant?
Open your package as soon as you receive it and carefully remove the plant from its packaging. Let it acclimate for 24 hours in its new environment before watering. If it has been slightly stressed during transport, it will recover its shape after one or two days in the light.
What to do if my plant arrives damaged?
Contact us within 48 hours with a photo of the issue. Our team will assess the situation and offer you the best solution: replacement, partial refund, or recovery advice.
Can I return a plant?
