Limonium 'Salt Lake', also called Statice or Sea Lavender, is a remarkable flowering perennial known for its airy panicles of tiny lilac-white flowers that seem to float above green foliage speckled with purple. The effect is light, almost vaporous — like a cloud of color resting on the flowerbed. Each flower dries on the stem and retains its color, extending the decoration well beyond the flowering period.

- Frequency: once every 10 to 15 days during hot summer weather; almost none in autumn-winter.

- Protect the collar in winter in cold regions: cover the plant base with a thick mineral mulch (gravel, pumice) to drain moisture in winter — it is cold moisture, not frost, that kills Limonium.
