Pink is the New Green — Tropical Trio
🌸 Pink & contrasting green foliage • ☀️ Indirect light • 💧 Moderate watering • 🪴 Easy care
The Pink is the New Green trio brings together three tropical plants with vibrant and natural shades: Aglaonema Red Valentine, Aglaonema Red Zirkon, and Calathea Roseopicta ‘Rosey’. Together, they form a colorful and harmonious composition that adds vitality and softness to any living space.
Their foliage mottled with pink, green, and silver brightens modern interiors, creating an atmosphere that is warm, graphic, and soothing — perfect for a living room, office, or a green shelf.
Exposure & location
These tropical plants love soft and filtered light. They thrive in a bright interior without direct sunlight, which could alter their pinkish hues. Perfect for apartments or city offices.
- Exposure: indirect light or partial shade.
- Ideal: shelf, east/north windowsill, office, or relaxation corner.
- Temperature: between 18 and 26 °C, protected from drafts.
- Substrate: light and draining soil, enriched with coconut fiber.
Verdeia tip: regularly turn the decorative pots so that light reaches all sides of the foliage.
Watering & care
- Watering: moderate: let the soil surface dry between waterings.
- Frequency: about once a week in spring-summer, less often in winter.
- Humidity: lightly mist the leaves to maintain a tropical atmosphere.
- Care: remove damaged leaves to encourage regrowth and preserve vitality.
- Fertilizer: a light dose of liquid fertilizer every 3 weeks during the growing season.
Avoid hard water: these plants prefer rainwater or filtered water to keep their beautiful pink shades.
Decor ideas & plant combinations
The Pink is the New Green trio brings a lively and bright touch to any space. Its colorful reflections create a balance between softness and modernity, ideal for warming up an urban decor or complementing an indoor jungle.
- To pair with: Fittonia, Begonia maculata, or Peperomia caperata to enrich a tropical shelf.
- Ideal pot: matte white ceramic, beige stoneware, or powder pink decorative pot to enhance their shades.
