Rademachera sinica, nicknamed the Chinese doll or Emerald tree, is a tropical shrub with a branched and airy habit, featuring bipinnate compound leaves of an intense bright green. Its oval, finely pointed leaflets give it a visual lightness that few other indoor plants have at this size — a lace-like plant effect that lights up as soon as a light source passes through it. Native to the subtropical mountains of southern China and Taiwan, it belongs to the Bignoniaceae family — the same as Campsis and Catalpa.
