Frequently Asked Questions
Is the Crazy in Love 'Pink' Rose fragrant? Yes, delicately — its light floral scent is present but subtle, more noticeable in the morning and in warm weather, without being as strong as some old or English roses.
Can the 'Crazy in Love Pink' Rose be grown in a pot on a balcony? Yes, in a large, deep, well-drained container in full sun — train the stems on a trellis or railing, water regularly at the base without wetting the foliage, and apply rose fertilizer during the flowering period.

🌹 Bright pink blooms from June to the first frosts • 🌿 Shiny green foliage • ☀️ Full sun • ❄️ Very hardy • 📏 H65 cm | Pot Ø15 cm
The Rosa Crazy in Love 'Pink' is a climbing rose from the German horticultural selection, known for its continuous bright pink blooms with a light fragrance. From June until the first frosts, its large remontant flowers brighten terraces, balconies, and pergolas with a romantic and timeless touch.
Vigorous, very hardy, and easy to train — one of the most popular very hardy climbing roses for container growing in the city.
Which color of Rosa Crazy in Love to choose?
The Crazy in Love range offers three complementary colors, all remontant and vigorous:
- Rosa Crazy in Love 'Pink' (this plant) — bright romantic pink flowers, generous and continuous blooming. The classic and most romantic pink version.
- Rosa Crazy in Love 'Vanilla' — bright cream flowers with a light fragrance. The soft and elegant version.
- Rosa Crazy in Love 'Red' — bright red flowers on shiny green foliage. The intense and passionate red version.
Exposure & location
The 'Crazy in Love Pink' rose requires full sun for optimal and continuous blooming. In partial shade, it blooms less and becomes more susceptible to fungal diseases. Mulch generously around the base to keep roots cool and limit the appearance of downy mildew.
- Exposure: full sun — at least 6 hours of direct sunlight per day.
- Support: trellis, arch, or fence — train the stems from planting.
- Soil: rich, well-drained, and slightly moist.
- In a pot: large deep container with good drainage and regular fertilization.
Mulch generously around the base from the start — a rose with warm, dry roots is much more vulnerable to downy mildew and rust than one with cool, covered roots.
Watering & care
Always water at the base, never on the foliage — water on leaves encourages downy mildew and rust. Regularly remove faded flowers to stimulate new blooms. Semi-woody stem cuttings taken in summer root easily to multiply the plant. If leaves yellow, check watering and exposure.
- Watering: regular at the base — never on the foliage.
- Faded flowers: remove regularly down to the first leaf with 5 leaflets.
- Pruning: light at the end of summer, rejuvenation pruning every 2 years at 30 cm from the ground.
- Fertilizer: rose fertilizer in spring and summer — rich in potassium to intensify color.
Cut faded flowers down to the first leaf with 5 leaflets — this is where the stem is strong enough to form a new flower bud and trigger the next wave of blooms.
Decoration ideas & plant pairings
The bright pink of 'Crazy in Love Pink' adds a warm and romantic note. It pairs well with all whites, purples, and silver foliage for very elegant compositions.
- For a very romantic purple and pink climbing duo, the Clematis 'The President' violet is the ideal companion — the large star-shaped violet clematis flowers and the bright pink rose flowers create a classic and very elegant two-tone duo on the same trellis.
- For a scented pink and white combination, the evergreen Trachelospermum 'Star of Venice' white jasmine dresses the base of the wall all year — its white summer flowers and permanent dark green foliage highlight the bright pink of the rose.
- For a very soft pink and cream composition, the Rosa Crazy in Love 'Vanilla' cream rose pairs delicately with the Pink — the two remontant roses from the same range in complementary shades create a very harmonious two-tone pergola.
- For a romantic balcony in a planter, the Elho Greenville Easy Balcony white planter Ø25 cm highlights the bright pink of the rose on a sunny railing — the neutral white of the container amplifies the brightness of the pink flowers.
Verdeia Tips
- Train the main stems horizontally from planting: stems oriented fan-shaped or horizontally produce more flowers than vertical stems — this early orientation is the most effective technique to maximize pink blooming throughout the season.
- Mulch the base from the start: a 5 to 8 cm mulch keeps roots cool, limits evaporation in summer, and significantly reduces downy mildew — the best preventive protection against fungal diseases of the rose.
- Regularly remove faded flowers: remontant blooming depends directly on this operation — a rose with faded flowers left in place wastes energy forming seeds instead of producing new flower buds.

Will the plant look exactly like the photo?
The photos accurately represent the variety and the stated size. Since each plant is unique, slight differences in shape, foliage, or color may occur — and that’s part of their charm.

What to do upon receiving my plant?
Open your package as soon as you receive it and carefully remove the plant from its packaging. Let it acclimate for 24 hours in its new environment before watering. If it has been slightly stressed during transport, it will recover its shape after one or two days in the light.
What to do if my plant arrives damaged?
Contact us within 48 hours with a photo of the issue. Our team will assess the situation and offer you the best solution: replacement, partial refund, or recovery advice.
