⚫ Patinated black metal • 🌿 Verdigris green reflections • ✨ Worn gold lines with a vintage effect • 🪴 For large indoor plants • 📏 3 sizes: Pot Ø28, Ø33 and Ø38 cm
The Belia decorative pot is a large metal decorative pot with a spherical shape, a rounded base and a slightly narrowed rim. Its black surface features a patina with verdigris green reflections, while two intentionally worn gold lines highlight the rim and bottom of the pot. It complements the pots and decorative pots in the catalog for large plants.
Available in three sizes, from Ø28 to Ø38 cm, it accommodates plants sold in large nursery pots, and its deep black color makes all foliage stand out, from soft green to variegated.
Size guide
Choose the size based on the diameter of your plant's nursery pot, leaving a few centimeters of space around it:
- H25 cm | Pot Ø28 cm: for a nursery pot up to approximately Ø24 cm, such as the Schefflera 'Amate'.
- H28 cm | Pot Ø33 cm: for a nursery pot approximately Ø26 to 29 cm.
- H33 cm | Pot Ø38 cm: for a nursery pot approximately Ø30 to 34 cm, for very large plants.
Measure the nursery pot at the top, at the opening: this is where it is widest. A few guidelines can help you choose the right pot based on the size of the root ball.
Light & placement
- Use: indoors — sheltered from rain, which could damage the patina.
- Placement: on the floor in a living room, entryway or near a window, wherever large plants are placed.
- Visual effect: its low, round shape provides visual grounding for tall, slender plants.
Placed on a light-colored floor, blonde wood flooring or white tiles, the patinated black finish stands out clearly and the gold lines catch the light.
Care
This is a decorative pot without a drainage hole: watering water that drains from the nursery pot remains at the bottom. A plant sitting in this water may become an overwatered plant with damaged roots, which is why it is important to empty the excess.
- Cleaning: a soft, dry cloth is all you need; avoid water and abrasive products, which can alter the patina.
- Excess water: empty the bottom of the decorative pot half an hour after watering.
- Patina: the worn gold lines and variations in the patina are part of the vintage style, not defects.
When the plant outgrows its nursery pot, it is time to move up to the next size: our repotting guide explains when and how to do it.
Decor ideas & pairings
- For a large statement plant, place a Monstera deliciosa in it — its large, split, glossy green leaves stand out against the matte black patina.
- For a tropical atmosphere, choose a 'Dwarf Cavendish' dwarf banana plant — its broad light green leaves create a strong contrast with the dark metal.
- To echo the gold, place the Mayk Gold decorative pot beside it — its bronze and gold tones complement the Belia's gold lines around a smaller plant.
- For a black and gold arrangement, place the Artic gold leopard vase beside it — the same black and gold combination, in blown glass.
Group a large Belia on the floor with one or two smaller decorative pots on a console table: the differences in height add dimension to a plant corner.
Verdeia tips
- Never plant directly in the decorative pot: without a drainage hole, water collects at the bottom and suffocates the roots. Keep the plant in its perforated nursery pot and place it inside the Belia.
- Raise the nursery pot: a layer of clay pebbles at the bottom of the decorative pot keeps the root ball above the water and allows you to position it at the right height.
- Water at the right time: in a decorative pot, you cannot see the water draining; instead, check the moisture of the substrate with the finger test before each watering.

Our Verdeia commitments
FAQ – Everything to know before adopting your Verdeia plant
How are my plants prepared before shipping?
All our plants are selected from our European partner nurseries. Before shipping, they are watered, cleaned, and protected with breathable, secure packaging. Each package is designed to ensure your plant arrives in perfect health, without any transport-related stress.
Will the plant look exactly like the photo?
The photos accurately represent the variety and the stated size. Since each plant is unique, slight differences in shape, foliage, or color may occur — and that’s part of their charm.
What are the delivery times and conditions?
Shipping is done within 48 business hours, with tracked delivery within 2 to 5 business days. Delivery costs €5.60 — free for orders over €50. You will receive a tracking link as soon as the package is shipped.
What to do upon receiving my plant?
Open your package as soon as you receive it and carefully remove the plant from its packaging. Let it acclimate for 24 hours in its new environment before watering. If it has been slightly stressed during transport, it will recover its shape after one or two days in the light.
What to do if my plant arrives damaged?
Contact us within 48 hours with a photo of the issue. Our team will assess the situation and offer you the best solution: replacement, partial refund, or recovery advice.
Can I return a plant?
Since plants are living beings, standard returns are not possible. However, we guarantee good health upon delivery: if the plant arrives damaged, it will be replaced free of charge. For any other cases (order error, decorative pot, accessory), returns are possible within 14 days.
