Appreciated for its resistance and air-purifying ability, the Schefflera ‘Amate’ is ideal for lovers of large exotic-looking plants. It adds a natural and elegant touch to modern apartments as well as workspaces.
Exposure & location
The Schefflera ‘Amate’ enjoys bright environments without direct sunlight. It tolerates partial shade and adapts well to bright interiors, even with filtered light. Avoid placing it in full sun, especially behind glass.

- Ideal: spacious living room, bright entrance, workspace or relaxation corner.
- Temperature: between 18 and 26 °C, without cold drafts.
- Substrate: rich, slightly acidic, well-drained potting soil.
Verdeia tip: rotate the plant regularly for harmonious growth and balanced foliage throughout its height.
Watering & care
- Watering: moderate, about once a week. Let the top layer of substrate dry out between waterings.
- Drainage: essential to avoid excess water and yellowing leaves.
- Fertilizer: a balanced liquid fertilizer every 2 to 3 months in spring and summer.
- Cleaning: dust the leaves with a damp cloth to maintain their shine.
- Pruning: cut back overly long or bare stems to stimulate new growth.
In winter, reduce watering and maintain a stable temperature to prevent leaf drop.

Will the plant look exactly like the photo?
The photos accurately represent the variety and the stated size. Since each plant is unique, slight differences in shape, foliage, or color may occur — and that’s part of their charm.

What to do upon receiving my plant?
Open your package as soon as you receive it and carefully remove the plant from its packaging. Let it acclimate for 24 hours in its new environment before watering. If it has been slightly stressed during transport, it will recover its shape after one or two days in the light.
What to do if my plant arrives damaged?
