The Araucaria heterophylla, also known as the Norfolk Island pine, is a tropical conifer native to Norfolk Island, off the coast of Australia — not to be confused with European Christmas trees. Its naturally symmetrical conical shape and soft green evergreen foliage make it a decorative indoor plant all year round, both off-season and during the holidays. A reliable choice among large indoor plants, to be positioned according to a few rules specific to XXL plants.
Easy to care for and long-lived, it prefers stability — a temperate, bright room without drafts suits it perfectly.

Araucaria thrives in natural light without prolonged direct sun — too much sun burns its fine needles, while insufficient light causes its foliage to turn yellow and distorts its shape.
