Exposure & location
- Indirect light or partial shade: easily adapts to bright interiors.
- Ideal in a living room, kitchen, or office.
- Ideal temperature: 15–25 °C, tolerates slightly cool environments well.
- Avoid direct heat sources like radiators or lamps.
Verdeia Tip: place it high or hang it to highlight its natural foliage cascade.
Watering & care
- Water about once a week, when the soil starts to dry.
- Keep the soil slightly moist, without excess standing water.
- Spray the leaves occasionally to maintain their shine.
- Mild liquid fertilizer every 3–4 weeks in spring and summer.
- Prune overly long stems to encourage dense and harmonious growth.
Verdeia Tips
- Support: guide its stems on a trellis or stake to transform it into a climbing plant.
- Hanging: ideal when hung for a natural and soothing cascading effect.
- Repotting: about every 2 years, in a light and well-draining soil mix.
- Cleaning: regularly dust the leaves to promote photosynthesis.
- Observation: if leaves yellow, reduce watering — ivy does not like excess water.
Decor ideas & combinations
- Beautiful when hung for a lush trailing effect.
- As a green wall, it creates a lively and exotic atmosphere.
- Pair it with a Monstera deliciosa or a Calathea orbifolia for a contrast of tropical textures.
