Some plants grow fast — really fast. In just a few months, they can transform an empty corner into a true green wall. If you’re looking for visible results quickly without waiting years, this selection is made for you.

The indoor growth champions

Pothos (Epipremnum aureum) is probably the fastest indoor plant: its vines can grow several tens of centimeters per month under good conditions. Monstera deliciosa produces a new leaf every 3 to 4 weeks during the growing season, each one larger than the last. Tradescantia, with its colorful trailing stems, is just as generous. Find all these species in our Monstera, Tradescantia, and hanging and trailing plants collections.

Fast growth and minimal care

Fast-growing plants aren’t necessarily demanding. Syngonium, Philodendron scandens, and Scindapsus grow quickly while tolerating varied conditions: indirect light, moderate watering, and typical apartment temperatures. If you’re a beginner, these species are an excellent starting point — our article Indoor plants for beginners: the complete guide will help you get started. Also check out our selection of easy-care plants and plants for beginners.

Create an urban jungle quickly

The trick for an instant jungle effect: combine climbing plants on supports (Monstera, Philodendron) with trailing plants up high (Pothos, Tradescantia) and a large floor plant like Strelitzia or Ficus lyrata. In 3 to 6 months, the plant volume is spectacular. To go further, explore our create an indoor jungle collection, our large XXL plants, and read our guide combining plants for a tropical atmosphere.

What lighting for optimal growth?

Light is the main growth factor. Bright exposure without direct sunlight significantly speeds up development — our article Light and humidity: finding the right balance explains everything in detail. If your interior is rather dark, favor species that grow fast even in low light: Pothos, Philodendron, and Syngonium remain effective. Discover our selection of shade and partial shade plants.

Feeding growth

A fast-growing plant consumes more nutrients. Applying liquid fertilizer every two weeks between March and September makes a real difference — check out our complete guide on fertilizers and nutrition. Also remember to repot as soon as roots come out of the bottom of the pot: a slightly larger container immediately boosts growth. Our article when and how to repot guides you step by step.
