- Exposure: indirect light or partial shade.
- Ideal: living room, office, or bright bedroom.
- Temperature: 18 to 26 °C, protected from cold drafts.
- Substrate: rich and well-drained soil (mix of peat, coconut fiber, and perlite).
Verdeia tip: provide it with a stake or support to encourage vertical growth and the development of its large velvety leaves.
Watering & care
- Watering: moderate; keep the substrate slightly moist without excess water.
- Frequency: about once a week in summer, less often in winter.
- Drainage: essential to avoid water stagnation at the bottom of the pot.
- Fertilizer: every 2 to 3 weeks in spring and summer with a diluted balanced fertilizer.
- Care: dust the leaves to maintain their shine and promote breathing.
Verdeia tip: the Philodendron prefers a moderate to high humidity level — mist it lightly in summer for lusher foliage.
