Verdeia tips
  • Upon receipt, take the plant out of its box and allow it 24 to 48 hours to acclimate in a bright place without direct sunlight.
  • Check the soil moisture before watering; add a little water only if the surface is dry.
  • Avoid heat sources and drafts, and keep a slightly humid atmosphere to preserve the beauty of the foliage.
  • Wait 2 to 3 weeks before any repotting, allowing the plant time to stabilize.
  • Gently wipe the leaves to remove dust and observe them: slight stress during the first few days is completely normal.

Syngonium Arrow – Tropical climbing arrow plant

    🌿 Tropical • 🪴 Climbing / Cascading • 💧 Easy to care for • 🌤️ Partial shade • 💨 Air-purifying

The Syngonium Arrow, also called arrow plant, is an elegant tropical indoor plant known for its arrow-shaped foliage and shades of soft green. Flexible and bright, it brings a graphic and soothing touch to modern spaces.

Easy to live with and very decorative, this versatile plant can be grown hanging for a cascading effect or trained on a stake for a climbing and sculptural silhouette. Ideal for city apartments, it adapts perfectly to bright interiors without direct sun.

    Exposure & location

The Syngonium Arrow likes indirect light and the softness of filtered spaces. It is an adaptable plant, perfect for bright corners without direct sun or rooms facing east/north.

    • Soft and diffuse light, tolerates partial shade.
    • Ideal in a living room, bedroom, or office.
    • Avoid direct sunlight that can burn the leaves.
    • Ideal temperature: between 18 and 26 °C.
    • Tolerates moderately heated interiors in winter well.

Verdeia Tip: place your Syngonium on a shelf or hang it near a bright window. With a foam stake, it will gladly climb to form dense and harmonious foliage.

    Watering & maintenance

The Syngonium Arrow is easy to care for and forgives small forgetfulness. It likes slightly moist soil, without excess water. Its foliage also appreciates regular ambient humidity, especially during hot periods.

    • Water when the soil surface becomes dry (about once a week).
    • Space out watering in winter (every 7 to 10 days).
    • Lightly mist the foliage to recreate its tropical climate.
    • Avoid stagnant water at the bottom of the pot.
    • Remove overly long stems to encourage branching.

Verdeia tip: excess water can be more harmful than a slight lack — always favor well-drained soil.

    Verdeia tips

The Syngonium Arrow fits perfectly into urban interiors thanks to its decorative foliage and adaptability. It likes stability, soft light, and minimal care.

    • Clean the leaves with a damp cloth to preserve their shine.
    • Repot it every 1 to 2 years into a slightly larger pot.
    • Use a rich but well-draining soil, suitable for tropical plants.
    • Add a mild fertilizer for green plants in spring and summer.
    • Pair it with other tropicals (Philodendrons, Calatheas, Pothos) for a balanced jungle effect.

    Decor ideas & combinations

Thanks to its flexible habit and bright foliage, the Syngonium Arrow is a decorative plant with strong aesthetic potential. It adapts to all styles: modern, bohemian, minimalist, or Scandinavian.

    • In a light or golden planter cover for a chic and luminous touch.
    • Hanging for a natural and airy cascading effect.
    • On a stake for a sculptural climbing structure.
    • Paired with natural materials (rattan, wood, ceramic) for a contemporary tropical vibe.
