Citrus Lemon — Lemon Tree — Ø22 cm — H80 cm
🍋 Edible yellow fruits • 🌸 Fragrant white flowers • ☀️ Full sun • 💧 Regular watering • 🌿 Evergreen foliage • 🐾 Non-toxic
The Citrus Lemon, also called Lemon Tree, is a spectacular fruit citrus known for its edible yellow lemons, deliciously fragrant white flowers, and glossy evergreen foliage. This fascinating Mediterranean plant produces juicy, aromatic fruits that bring a touch of freshness and authenticity to your terrace, balcony, or urban garden.
Originating from the Mediterranean and subtropical regions of Asia, the lemon tree is a fruit-bearing shrub from the Rutaceae family that has been cultivated for millennia for its vitamin C-rich fruits and captivating fragrance. With a height of 80 cm and a pot diameter of 22 cm, it becomes an elegant and productive fruit tree in your urban jungle, perfect for a sunny balcony, terrace, or Mediterranean garden. As a bonus, its fragrant white flowers attract pollinators and fill the air with their delicate scent.
Which Citrus variety should you choose?
The Citrus genus offers several citrus varieties suitable for container growing. Here’s how the Citrus Lemon stands out from other varieties in our catalog:
- Citrus Lemon (this plant): classic lemon tree (80 cm), standard-sized yellow lemons, generous production, perfect for balconies and terraces. Classic productive version.
- Citrus Calamondin: compact calamondin (40 cm and 80 cm available), small tangy orange fruits, very floriferous, perfect for small spaces. Decorative miniature version.
Why choose the Citrus Lemon? If you're looking for a true productive lemon tree with standard-sized lemons for cooking, making lemonade, or flavoring your dishes, the Citrus Lemon is the perfect choice. Its fruits are larger and juicier than the Calamondin.

- Temperature: 15 to 30 °C in summer, minimum 5 °C in winter (bring indoors to a bright spot if frost is expected).
- Soil: rich, well-drained, citrus potting mix with compost.
Verdeia tip: bring your lemon tree indoors to a bright spot as soon as temperatures drop below 5 °C in winter.
Watering & care
- Watering: regular; keep the soil slightly moist without waterlogging, especially during fruiting.
