Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a perfectly symmetrical rosette on my Aloe paradisicum? Turn the pot a quarter turn every two weeks and place it in a very bright spot — symmetry deteriorates when the plant stretches toward a side light source.
Does Aloe paradisicum produce offsets like Aloe vera? Yes, it regularly produces small side rosettes at its base that you can remove with their roots and repot separately to multiply the plant for free.

🌿 Sculpted geometric rosette • ☀️ Bright light • 💧 Very low watering • 🌱 Very easy
Endemic to the arid regions of the Eastern Cape province, South Africa, Aloe paradisicum is a miniature succulent with a geometric rosette of great formal precision. Its fleshy green-gray leaves, edged with fine teeth, form a naturally symmetrical spiral that makes it as much a decorative object as a living plant. Discover our entire collection of cacti and succulents and our small-format plants.
Extremely water-efficient, it is perfect for anyone looking for a graphic plant with almost no maintenance — ideal for starting with succulents or to fill a bright space without watering constraints.
Which Aloe variety to choose?
Three Aloe varieties are available in our catalog, from the most compact to the largest:
- Aloe paradisicum (this plant) — miniature green-gray rosette with fine teeth, very compact size (H15 cm | Pot Ø10.5 cm). The most graphic and decorative version.
- Aloe Spider — compact rosette with thin, tapered leaves, characteristic star-shaped form (H15 cm | Pot Ø10.5 cm). The version with the thinnest leaves.
- Aloe vera — fleshy pale green leaves with healing gel, upright generous form. The utilitarian and iconic version.
Light & location
Aloe paradisicum thrives in bright light — the brighter the exposure, the more compact and symmetrical the rosette remains. Intense indirect light also works, but dark spaces stretch and distort the plant’s natural form. Every room has its light constraints — choosing the right plant for the space is the first step to success.
- Exposure: bright direct or intense indirect light — avoid low-light areas.
- Ideal: sunny windowsill, bright desk, shelf near a window.
- Temperature: 18 to 28 °C — avoid cold drafts and frost.
- Substrate: special cactus and succulent mix, very well-draining.
Watering & care
Its fleshy leaves store water for several weeks — excess moisture is its only real enemy. The golden rule to never go wrong: let the substrate dry completely before watering again.
- Watering: very low — let the substrate dry completely between waterings.
- Frequency: every 2 to 3 weeks in spring-summer, once a month in winter.
- Drainage: essential — pot with drainage holes, no standing water in the saucer.
- Fertilizer: once a month in spring-summer, diluted special succulent fertilizer.
- Repotting: every 2 to 3 years in a very well-draining substrate.
Decor ideas & plant combinations
- Windowsill trio: pair Aloe paradisicum with an Aloe Spider and a small trailing succulent — three sizes, three textures, same green-gray palette on one sunny windowsill.
- Minimalist desk composition: placed alone in a Lago cream decorative pot, its geometric rosette becomes a true sculptural object — it suits clean, Nordic interiors especially well.
- Contrast with dark green: placed next to an Aloe vera with larger bright green foliage, Aloe paradisicum plays on size and shade contrast for an instantly readable plant arrangement.
- Decorative pot: the green-gray and beige tones of the rosette naturally match a terracotta decorative pot cover or an ochre decorative pot cover — avoid pure whites that erase the foliage contrast.
Verdeia tips
- Never water if the substrate is still moist deep down: root rot is irreversible and happens quickly with aloes — better to skip a watering than to overwater.
- Turn the pot a quarter turn every two weeks: this ensures a perfectly symmetrical rosette and prevents leaves from leaning all to one side toward the light.
- Use offsets to multiply the plant for free: Aloe paradisicum produces small side rosettes at the base — remove them with their roots and repot separately to get new plants.

FAQ – Everything to know before adopting your Verdeia plant
How are my plants prepared before shipping?
All our plants are selected from our European partner nurseries. Before shipping, they are watered, cleaned, and protected with breathable, secure packaging. Each package is designed to ensure your plant arrives in perfect health, without any transport-related stress.
Will the plant look exactly like the photo?
The photos accurately represent the variety and the stated size. Since each plant is unique, slight differences in shape, foliage, or color may occur — and that’s part of their charm.
What are the delivery times and conditions?
Shipping is done within 48 business hours, with tracked delivery within 2 to 5 business days. Delivery costs €5.60 — free for orders over €50. You will receive a tracking link as soon as the package is shipped.
What to do upon receiving my plant?
Open your package as soon as you receive it and carefully remove the plant from its packaging. Let it acclimate for 24 hours in its new environment before watering. If it has been slightly stressed during transport, it will recover its shape after one or two days in the light.
What to do if my plant arrives damaged?
Contact us within 48 hours with a photo of the issue. Our team will assess the situation and offer you the best solution: replacement, partial refund, or recovery advice.
Can I return a plant?
Since plants are living beings, standard returns are not possible. However, we guarantee good health upon delivery: if the plant arrives damaged, it will be replaced free of charge. For any other cases (order error, decorative pot, accessory), returns are possible within 14 days.
