Frequently asked questions
Do Ficus Benjamina and Microcarpa Moclame have the same needs? Yes, the three varieties in this pack share the same requirements: bright indirect light, moderate watering with the surface drying out between waterings, temperatures between 18 and 25 degrees Celsius, and a fixed location. Only the Twilight needs a bit more light to maintain its creamy white variegation.
Are Ficus plants toxic to cats and dogs? Yes, the sap of Ficus plants is irritating and toxic if ingested by cats and dogs. It can also cause skin irritation on contact. Keep these plants out of reach of your pets.

🌿 Trio of complementary Ficus • 🎨 Dark green, variegated, and round foliage • ☀️ Bright indirect light • 💧 Moderate watering • 🧺 3 Selin baskets included • ⚠️ Toxic to pets
This pack brings together three Ficus with complementary foliage: Ficus Benjamina Danielle with glossy dark green foliage, Ficus Benjamina Twilight with cream-white variegated leaves, and Ficus Microcarpa Moclame with small, round, glossy leaves and a compact growth habit. Each one comes in a natural Selin basket — ready to display.
Three different types of foliage, but the same care requirements — that is the strength of this trio. Pair them with Ficus and large plants. The first few days matter: a few simple steps can help you welcome a new plant.
What’s included
- 1 Ficus Benjamina Danielle — Ø21 cm, H95 cm, glossy dark green foliage.
- 1 Ficus Benjamina Twilight — Ø21 cm, H95 cm, cream-white variegated foliage.
- 1 Ficus Microcarpa Moclame — Ø21 cm, H95 cm, small, round, glossy green leaves.
- 3 natural Selin baskets — one for each plant, included in the pack.
The three plants are delivered in their nursery pots, placed inside the Selin baskets — ready to display without any additional accessories.
Light & placement
All three Ficus have the same light requirements — making it easier to place and care for them together in one space.
- Ideal exposure: bright indirect light — near a large east- or west-facing window.
- Tolerates: light partial shade — but the foliage will be less dense and growth slower.
- Avoid: direct sun, which can scorch the leaves, and frequent moves, which can trigger leaf drop.
- Temperature: 18–25 °C, away from drafts and sudden fluctuations.
Ficus are plants that prefer a fixed position — choose their permanent spot as soon as they arrive and do not move them again. Even a slight move can trigger temporary leaf drop.
Watering & care
- Watering: moderate — let the surface of the substrate dry out between waterings.
- Frequency: about once a week in spring and summer, reduced in winter.
- Drainage: pots with drainage holes are essential — the three Ficus do not tolerate standing water.
- Fertilizer: diluted liquid fertilizer for green plants, every 2 to 4 weeks in spring and summer.
- Cleaning: regularly dust the leaves with a damp cloth — dust blocks the stomata and reduces photosynthesis.
A slight leaf drop after delivery is normal — it is the Ficus’s response to a change in environment. Place them directly in their permanent position and allow 2 to 3 weeks to acclimatize. The watering frequency should be adjusted according to the season.
Decor ideas & plant pairings
Three distinct types of foliage — glossy dark green, cream-white variegated, and small round leaves — come together to create a harmonious, varied plant palette that never clashes.
- As a statement trio: lined up in their Selin baskets in a living room or spacious office, the three Ficus create a structured, elegant green backdrop.
- As a composition: pair them with a Spathiphyllum or a Dracaena to add density with plants that have the same requirements.
- Without baskets: to choose your own decorative pots, opt for the Pack of 3 Ficus without baskets.
The natural Selin baskets create a cohesive visual base that unifies the three plants despite their different foliage — the harmony comes from repeating the same container.
Verdeia tips
- Never move an established Ficus — this is the number-one rule. Once acclimatized to its position, a moved Ficus may lose a large portion of its foliage due to stress. Choose its permanent position as soon as it arrives.
- Leaf drop upon delivery is normal — all Ficus respond to a change in environment with temporary leaf loss. Do not change their position and wait 2 to 3 weeks — the foliage will become denser again once the plant has acclimatized.
- Drafts = falling leaves — Ficus are particularly sensitive to cold drafts. Keep them away from poorly insulated windows in winter and air conditioners in summer.
- Twilight needs more light than the others — its cream-white variegated areas contain less chlorophyll. Without enough light, new leaves emerge greener and less variegated. Place it in the brightest position of the three.
- Repot every 2 to 3 years in spring — into a slightly larger pot. Repotting too often or using a pot that is too large unnecessarily stresses the plant.
- ⚠️ Toxic to pets — Ficus sap is irritating and toxic if ingested by cats or dogs. Keep them out of pets’ reach. In a home with pets, it is better to choose from the pet-friendly plants.
