Frequently asked questions
Why are the leaves of my Anthurium turning yellow? Almost always overwatering or lack of light. Let the soil dry out slightly between waterings and move the plant closer to a window. Hard water can also cause this symptom — switch to filtered water.
Does the Anthurium need high humidity? Yes — native to humid tropical forests, it prefers 60-70% humidity. Regularly mist the foliage or place a humidifier nearby, especially in winter when heating dries the air.

🌿 Spectacular large-format foliage • 🌴 Dense, bushy growth • ☀️ Bright indirect light • 💧 Regular watering • 📏 H70 cm | Pot Ø30 cm • ⚠️ Toxic to animals
The Anthurium 'Jungle Bush' is a large-format anthurium native to the humid tropical forests of Central and South America. Unlike flowering anthuriums, Jungle Bush is cultivated for its spectacular foliage — large, leathery, glossy dark green leaves that grow into a dense, generous bush. Imposing size H70 cm | Pot Ø30 cm.
Air-purifying and easy to care for. Pair it with other Anthuriums.
Which Anthurium variety should you choose?
The Anthurium genus is divided into two main categories — flowering varieties and foliage varieties:
- Anthurium 'Jungle Bush' (this plant) — large bushy foliage, XXL size. The most imposing and structural.
- Anthurium Clarinervium — velvety dark green heart-shaped leaves with spectacular white veins. The most graphic.
- Anthurium Crystallinum — velvety oval leaves with silver veins. The most elegant.
- Anthurium Red — long-lasting red flowers, almost continuous blooming. The most floriferous.
- Anthurium Black Love — spectacular almost-black spathes. The most dramatic.
Other varieties are also available in our catalog — Sweet Dream, White, Calon and more.
Exposure & placement
- Ideal exposure: bright indirect light — near a window without direct sun.
- Tolerates: light partial shade.
- To avoid: direct sun that scorches the leaves, cold drafts.
- Temperature: 18–27 °C, without sudden fluctuations.
- Humidity: high humidity recommended — mist regularly.
- Space: its H70 cm/Ø30 cm size requires ample room — allow space for the foliage to spread freely.
Turn the pot a quarter turn every 2-3 weeks for even growth. Its ideal placement depends on the balance between light and humidity.
Watering & care
- Watering: regular — keep the substrate slightly moist without ever waterlogging it.
- Frequency: approximately once a week in spring and summer, reduced in winter.
- Water: lime-free water — filtered or rainwater is preferred.
- Drainage: a pot with drainage holes is essential.
- Humidity: mist the foliage regularly.
- Fertilizer: diluted liquid fertilizer for green plants, once a month in spring and summer.
If the leaves turn yellow, it is almost always due to excess water or insufficient light. Yellow leaves can be diagnosed quickly based on their appearance.
Decor ideas & plant pairings
Its XXL size and bushy foliage make it a statement plant that immediately structures the space.
- As a centerpiece: placed in a bright corner of a living room or conservatory, it creates a strong, generous tropical presence.
- As part of a jungle arrangement: pair it with a Monstera deliciosa for a tropical duo with highly contrasting foliage — split leaves against glossy, entire leaves.
- Ideal pot: natural woven basket or matte white ceramic — organic materials complement its generous tropical character.
Its dense, bushy foliage creates an instant jungle effect — a plant that fills the space with elegance. A reliable choice among large XXL plants.
Verdeia tips
- High humidity is essential — mist regularly or place a humidifier nearby, especially in winter when heating dries out the air.
- Lime-free water — limescale causes brown spots on the leaves and slows growth. Switch to filtered or rainwater.
- Repot every 2-3 years — in spring, into a slightly larger pot. Repotting in spring is enough, in a pot only slightly larger.
- ⚠️ Toxic to animals — contains calcium oxalate crystals. Keep it out of reach of cats and dogs. In a household with pets, it is best to choose from the pet-friendly plants that are compatible.

What should I do when my plant arrives?
