Frequently Asked Questions
Can aromatic herbs be grown on an indoor windowsill? Yes, provided the window is very sunny and faces south or west — the aromas will be less intense than outdoors but the plants will grow properly.
How to propagate aromatic herbs by cuttings? Take a 10 to 15 cm stem in spring, remove the lower leaves, and place it in a glass of water or directly into slightly moist, well-draining soil.

🌿 4 assorted aromatic herbs • ☀️ Full sun • 💧 Moderate watering • 🍃 Usable in cooking upon receipt • 📏 H18 cm | Pot Ø14 cm
This set of 4 aromatic plants includes four ready-to-use herbs — mint, rosemary, thyme, oregano, basil, parsley, or sage depending on the season — each delivered in its own growing pot Ø14 cm. A complete kit to start an aromatic garden on a sunny balcony or windowsill, usable directly in cooking upon receipt.
These aromatic herbs can be harvested fresh as needed or dried to create a homemade spice stock. Some varieties also produce small flowers very attractive to bees and butterflies in summer — a dual ornamental and useful interest that few easy-care plants can offer.
Exposure & location
Aromatic herbs all need plenty of light to fully develop their aromas — less sun means fewer essential oils, therefore less fragrance and flavor in cooking. To welcome them well upon arrival, follow the steps for proper reception of a new plant.
- Ideal exposure: full sun — balcony, terrace, or windowsill facing south or west.
- Minimum: 5 to 6 hours of direct sunlight per day for optimal aromatic development.
- Indoors: possible only on a very sunny windowsill — aromas will be less intense than outdoors.
- Temperature: hardy species — tolerate light frost depending on the variety.
- Substrate: well-draining — universal potting soil with sand or perlite; avoid overly rich substrates that favor growth at the expense of aromas.
A poor and well-draining substrate intensifies the herbs’ aromas — under slightly challenging conditions, they produce more essential oils to protect themselves from heat.
Watering & care
The herbs in this set share a high drought tolerance — they prefer a slightly dry substrate between waterings rather than a constantly moist one. The finger test method is the most reliable way to find the right watering rhythm without risking overwatering.
- Watering: moderate — let the top 3 to 4 cm of substrate dry out between waterings.
- Frequency: about once a week in summer, every 2 weeks in winter.
- Drainage: essential — pot must have drainage holes, saucer emptied after each watering.
- Fertilizer: liquid green plant fertilizer diluted by half, once a month in spring and summer.
- Pruning: prune regularly by cutting the top stems to maintain a compact shape and stimulate new leaf growth.
The more you prune and harvest your herbs, the more they produce — never let a plant flower without harvesting leaves beforehand, as this exhausts the plant and reduces leaf aromas.
Decor ideas & plant combinations
Aromatic herbs combine utility and aesthetics — their very different leaf textures create a visually interesting composition. To multiply and expand your aromatic garden, propagating aromatic herbs is simple and very effective in spring.
- In a balcony planter: group the 4 pots in a large planter exposed to full south sun and pair them with a Lavender Hidcote Blue to complete the palette.
- In the kitchen on a windowsill: slip each pot into a white Greenville decorative pot for a neat and coherent presentation on a countertop.
- Paired with a bay tree: combine the set with the Bay Laurel on stem to gather all essential kitchen herbs on the same balcony.
- Decorative pot and color scheme: the dense green and gray-green shades of the foliage match a Brussels anthracite decorative pot whose dark base highlights each leaf texture.
Since each herb has slightly different water needs, keep each plant in its individual pot rather than grouping them in the same container — this allows you to adjust watering for each independently.
Verdeia tips
- Harvest regularly to stimulate growth: always cut stems from the top just above a leaf node — this regular pruning encourages branching and keeps each plant compact and productive throughout the season.
- Repot in spring if roots overflow: potted aromatic herbs quickly exhaust small substrates — repot into a slightly larger pot with fresh well-draining soil as soon as roots come out of the bottom.
- Adjust winter care by variety: some herbs in this set tolerate light frost outdoors while others are more fragile — check the hardiness of each variety received and bring the more sensitive ones indoors to a cool, bright place in winter.

Will the plant look exactly like the photo?
The photos accurately represent the variety and the stated size. Since each plant is unique, slight differences in shape, foliage, or color may occur — and that’s part of their charm.
What are the delivery times and conditions?
Shipping is done within 48 business hours, with tracked delivery within 2 to 5 business days. Delivery costs €5.60 — free for orders over €50. You will receive a tracking link as soon as the package is shipped.
What to do upon receiving my plant?
Open your package as soon as you receive it and carefully remove the plant from its packaging. Let it acclimate for 24 hours in its new environment before watering. If it has been slightly stressed during transport, it will recover its shape after one or two days in the light.
What to do if my plant arrives damaged?
Contact us within 48 hours with a photo of the issue. Our team will assess the situation and offer you the best solution: replacement, partial refund, or recovery advice.
Can I return a plant?
