Frequently Asked Questions
Should the water for hydroponic Monstera be changed in winter? Yes, but the frequency can be reduced to every 3 to 4 weeks in winter, as growth slows down and the water stays cleaner longer.
Can a hydroponic Monstera be planted in soil after purchase? Yes, hydroponic roots adapt to soil — just rinse them and repot in a light, well-draining potting mix, making the transition gradually.

🌿 Graphic perforated foliage • ☀️ Bright indirect light • 💧 Hydroponic cultivation • 🪴 Cylindrical glass vase included • 📏 H25 cm | Vase Ø12 cm
This Monstera Adansonii in a cylindrical glass vase is a modern, refined plant display, grown hydroponically for easy care. Its iconic small perforated leaves and visible root system in the glass create a graphic, natural composition - a distinctive piece among plants in vases.
Native to the tropical forests of Central and South America, Monstera adansonii naturally climbs trees in humid understories, developing increasingly perforated leaves as it grows. Delivered ready to display in its transparent cylindrical glass vase, it looks equally at home on a desk, shelf, or as an original plant gift.
Light & placement
The Monstera Adansonii in a vase thrives near a bright window without direct sun - bright indirect light is ideal for keeping its perforations well defined and its foliage dense.
- Light: bright indirect light to partial shade.
- Ideal location: desk, shelf, coffee table, or well-lit windowsill.
- Use: indoors only.
- Temperature: 18 to 25 °C, away from drafts and direct heat sources.
Turn the vase a quarter turn every 2 weeks to balance growth and achieve a harmonious shape from every angle.
Watering & care
Hydroponic cultivation makes care considerably easier - there is no substrate to monitor and no risk of overwatering. The key is to maintain a constant water level and renew it regularly.
- Water level: maintain a constant level in the vase - the roots should always be partially submerged.
- Water change: renew the water every 2 to 3 weeks to keep the roots healthy.
- Water: use room-temperature water that has been left to stand for a few hours to remove chlorine.
- Fertilizer: add a few drops of liquid fertilizer for hydroponic plants once a month in spring and summer.
- Cleaning: wipe the leaves with a damp cloth and clean the vase with every water change to preserve its transparency.
Decor ideas & plant pairings
With its transparent vase and visible roots, this Monstera is a complete plant display in its own right - it blends naturally into contemporary tropical settings as well as minimalist interiors.
- Create a graphic hydroponic trio by pairing this Monstera with a Clusia in a Kingston vase and a Sansevieria in a glass cylinder - three plants in glass, three very different silhouettes, and the same refined, cohesive aesthetic.
- Place it on a desk or bright shelf alongside a Calathea hydroponique Samoa LED - the contrast between the Monstera's perforated leaves and the Calathea's patterned foliage is striking in two similarly sized vases.
- Pair it with the Monstera Adansonii & Clusia duo in a cylinder to double the botanical glass display on a console or coffee table - a composition ready to give as a gift.
- For a minimalist interior, group it with the Trio of hydroponic plants in glass bottles with wooden bases - glass, natural wood, and greenery for a modern, organic atmosphere.
Verdeia tips
- Change the water regularly: renewing it every 2 to 3 weeks prevents algae growth, keeps the roots healthy, and extends the plant's lifespan - gently rinse the roots at this time if they have deposits.
- Maintain good brightness: without sufficient indirect light, new leaves grow without perforations and the plant gradually loses its graphic character - light and humidity are the two key factors in hydroponics.
- Avoid direct sun behind glass: in summer, sun concentrated through the glass heats the water and cooks the roots - place the vase at least 50 cm from a south- or west-facing window.

FAQ – Everything to know before adopting your Verdeia plant
How are my plants prepared before shipping?
All our plants are selected from our European partner nurseries. Before shipping, they are watered, cleaned, and protected with breathable, secure packaging. Each package is designed to ensure your plant arrives in perfect health, without any transport-related stress.
Will the plant look exactly like the photo?
The photos accurately represent the variety and the stated size. Since each plant is unique, slight differences in shape, foliage, or color may occur — and that’s part of their charm.
What are the delivery times and conditions?
Shipping is done within 48 business hours, with tracked delivery within 2 to 5 business days. Delivery costs €5.60 — free for orders over €50. You will receive a tracking link as soon as the package is shipped.
What to do upon receiving my plant?
Open your package as soon as you receive it and carefully remove the plant from its packaging. Let it acclimate for 24 hours in its new environment before watering. If it has been slightly stressed during transport, it will recover its shape after one or two days in the light.
What to do if my plant arrives damaged?
Contact us within 48 hours with a photo of the issue. Our team will assess the situation and offer you the best solution: replacement, partial refund, or recovery advice.
Can I return a plant?
Since plants are living beings, standard returns are not possible. However, we guarantee good health upon delivery: if the plant arrives damaged, it will be replaced free of charge. For any other cases (order error, decorative pot, accessory), returns are possible within 14 days.
