Phlebodium aureum 'Blue Star', also known as blue fern, is an epiphytic fern native to the tropical forests of Central and South America that captivates with a unique color in the plant world — a powdery blue-green with silvery highlights that brings freshness and serenity to contemporary interiors. Phlebodium Blue Star is one of the few ferns that genuinely tolerates partial shade — its main advantage among plants for dark rooms. Its ideal placement depends on the balance between light and indoor humidity.

- Ideal locations: bright bathroom, kitchen, bedroom, living room — the bathroom is particularly suitable thanks to the natural humidity after showers.

Watering & care
Phlebodium Blue Star is an epiphytic fern — in its natural habitat, it absorbs the water from rain and ambient humidity rather than from constantly wet soil. When grown in a pot, the challenge is to keep the substrate slightly moist without ever leaving it waterlogged. Watering indoor plants should be based on how quickly the substrate dries, not on the calendar.
- Frequency: 2 to 3 times a week in spring and summer, less often in autumn and winter.
