This assortment combines mini cacti and succulents already planted in Ø8.1 cm terracotta Pots, ready to display without repotting. Spiny ribs, fleshy rosettes, and bead-like leaves come together in a selection from the arid regions of the Americas, South Africa, and Mexico, within the Cacti & succulents collection.
This is the most complete format in the range: mixing the two families creates a contrast of textures that a uniform set cannot achieve, and the terracotta Pot eliminates the need for a decorative pot. The difference compared with the same mix in Ø5.5 cm nursery Pots lies in the container: its porous material lets the substrate dry faster and limits the risk of rot.
Light & placement
Cacti and succulents alike require as much light as possible. In insufficient light, cacti become stretched and pointed, while rosettes loosen—both are permanent deformities.
- Light: bright light to direct sun — a south- or west-facing windowsill, without a sheer curtain.
- Placement: table, console, windowsill, bright desk — also a sheltered terrace or balcony from June to September.
- Temperature: 18 to 30 °C during growth — a cool winter rest between 8 and 12 °C intensifies colors and flowering.
- Soil type: very well-draining cactus potting mix, already in place in the supplied Pots.
Both families have exactly the same light requirements: there is no need to separate them or orient them differently in a composition.
Watering & care
Terracotta allows moisture to evaporate through its sides, which brings watering slightly closer together than with a plastic pot but greatly reduces the risk of rot. Well-draining substrate remains essential.
- Watering: very infrequent — every 2 weeks from April to September, pouring the water directly onto the substrate along the side of the pot.
- Winter: almost complete cessation — no more than once a month, or not at all if the room is cool.
- Drainage: essential — never leave standing water beneath the Pots.
- Leaves and spines: keep dry — water that remains in the center of a rosette or at the base of a cactus causes rapid rot.
- Fertilizer: half-strength cactus fertilizer, once a month from May to August only.
- Repotting: unnecessary during the first year, as the supplied Pots are already the right size.
Terracotta darkens when it comes into contact with water and then lightens as it dries: the color of the pot shows at a glance whether the substrate is still damp.
Decor ideas & plant combinations
The matte ochre of the terracotta unifies the arrangement, while the mix of the two families adds contrast: it is the clearest combination for a grouped display.
- For a centerpiece, group the six Pots in a circle or line on a wooden tray — repeating the container highlights the alternation between rigid forms and soft rosettes.
- To add interest to several areas of a room, the set of 18 allows you to distribute groups of three across a bookcase, windowsill, and desk — the same pot creates a visual thread.
- To expand an existing arrangement, add mini cacti in terracotta Pots or succulents in terracotta Pots of the same size.
- For a group gift, the set of 6 can be divided into two gifts of three Pots, each already presentable without additional packaging.
A whitish film sometimes appears on the terracotta over the course of watering: these are the minerals in the water migrating through the sides, with no consequence for the plant.
Verdeia tips
- Pour the water along the side of the pot: water that remains in the center of a rosette or at the base of a cactus causes rot within a few days. Side watering reaches the roots without wetting the plants.
- Handle cacti with a strip of newspaper: folded into a band and wrapped around the plant, it provides an effective handle without crushing the ribs or driving spines into your gloves.
- Give them a cool, dry winter: kept for two to three months between 8 and 12 °C without watering, the rosettes tighten and develop their most intense colors, and most cacti flower the following spring.

All our plants are selected from our European partner nurseries. Before shipping, they are watered, cleaned, and protected with breathable, secure packaging. Each package is designed to ensure your plant arrives in perfect health, without any transport-related stress.
Will the plant look exactly like the photo?
The photos accurately represent the variety and the stated size. Since each plant is unique, slight differences in shape, foliage, or color may occur — and that’s part of their charm.
What are the delivery times and conditions?
Shipping is done within 48 business hours, with tracked delivery within 2 to 5 business days. Delivery costs €5.60 — free for orders over €50. You will receive a tracking link as soon as the package is shipped.
What to do upon receiving my plant?
Open your package as soon as you receive it and carefully remove the plant from its packaging. Let it acclimate for 24 hours in its new environment before watering. If it has been slightly stressed during transport, it will recover its shape after one or two days in the light.
What to do if my plant arrives damaged?
Contact us within 48 hours with a photo of the issue. Our team will assess the situation and offer you the best solution: replacement, partial refund, or recovery advice.
Can I return a plant?
Since plants are living beings, standard returns are not possible. However, we guarantee good health upon delivery: if the plant arrives damaged, it will be replaced free of charge. For any other cases (order error, decorative pot, accessory), returns are possible within 14 days.
