Looking for a plant that makes a statement without breaking the budget? Large indoor plants aren’t all overpriced. Some species reach 70 cm, 1 meter, and beyond while remaining affordable — and they grow quickly, which means even if bought at a medium size, they will soon gain volume.

The most affordable large plants

Dracaena offers one of the best size-to-price ratios on the market: the Dracaena Janet Lind at 70 cm or the Dracaena Anita at 100 cm provide immediate vertical volume for a reasonable budget. The Yucca is just as generous: sturdy, imposing, and almost impossible to kill. The large-format Spathiphyllum (Vivaldi at 70 cm, Sweet Silvana at 80 cm, Bellini at 100 cm) combines flowering and lush foliage. Find all these species in our Dracaena and Spathiphyllum collections.

Investing in a fast-growing plant

The trick to having a large plant without paying the price of a mature specimen: buy a fast-growing plant at an intermediate size and let it grow. The Strelitzia Nicolai, Ficus Elastica, Monstera deliciosa, and climbing Philodendron can gain 30 to 60 cm per year under good conditions. In one year, your "medium" plant will have become XXL. Check out our fast-growing plants collection and our article XXL plants: which to choose and how to integrate them.

Packs and duos: more green for less

Our packs group several plants at a better price compared to buying individually. The Strelitzia + Monstera Pack, the Strelitzia + Alocasia Pack, or the 3 Ficus Pack offer you 2 to 3 large plants in a single order. It’s the fastest way to create an urban jungle effect. Explore our indoor plant packs collection.

Large plants that are easy to care for

A large plant that’s low-maintenance is the winning combo. Yucca, Dracaena, and Schefflera require infrequent watering and tolerate various light conditions. Ficus Benjamina and Ficus Binnendijkii are as generous in size as they are tolerant once well established. Dypsis (Areca palm) and Kentia add a tropical touch effortlessly. Check out our easy-care plants and hardy plants collections, and read our complete watering guide.

Choosing the right decorative pot without extra cost

A designer decorative pot can sometimes cost as much as the plant itself. Our recycled plastic pots offer a modern look at a low price. Natural fiber baskets like the Selin Basket or the Jorck Basket bring warmth without breaking the bank. And our Elho Greenville and Brussels decorative pots combine aesthetics and functionality at an affordable price. Also read our article choosing the right pot.

Small budget, big impact

The ideal combination for maximum impact on a limited budget: a large floor plant (Dracaena, Yucca, or Strelitzia), a Pothos placed high with freely hanging vines, and a pack of mini plants on a shelf. Three purchases, an instant jungle effect. Find our XXL large plants, affordable plants, and hanging and trailing plants collections, and our article combining plants for a tropical vibe.
