Native to the subtropical regions of Southeast Asia (China, Japan, Taiwan), Livistona chinensis is a fan palm whose large, bright green palmate fronds are deeply divided into segments that droop slightly at the tips — a unique, majestic architectural tropical silhouette. Two Livistona species are available in our catalog:
- Livistona chinensis (this plant) — large, broad, deeply divided fronds in intense bright green, with a majestic form (H100 cm | Pot Ø24 cm). The more imposing version, it tolerates cool temperatures down to 10 °C.
- Livistona rotundifolia — more rounded and compact fronds, less deeply divided segments, soft green, with a bushier form (H70 cm | Pot Ø17 cm). The gentler, more compact version, it prefers warmth.
