🌿 Peperomia Rosso + Pilea peperomioides • 🎨 Graphic contrasting foliage • ☀️ Indirect light • 💧 Moderate watering • 🐾 Non-toxic • 📏 H15 cm | Pot Ø10.5 cm
The Peperomia Rosso & Pilea peperomioides duo combines two iconic, complementary indoor plants. The Peperomia Rosso charms with its dark green leaves veined in deep red and its compact growth habit. The Pilea peperomioides, or Chinese money plant, delights with its round, bright leaves — a graphic and elegant duo that is easy to care for and non-toxic.
Pair them with Peperomias and Pileas.
Light & placement
These two plants appreciate soft, indirect light — their needs are perfectly compatible, which makes them easy to care for side by side.
- Light: partial shade to bright indirect light — avoid direct sun, which can scorch the leaves.
- Ideal: table, shelf, east- or north-facing windowsill, bright desk.
- Temperature: 18 to 26 °C, protected from drafts.
- Humidity: normal — they adapt well to urban indoor conditions.
Place them side by side behind a sheer curtain — filtered light enhances the reddish highlights of the Peperomia and maintains the round shape of the Pilea's leaves.
Watering & care
Both plants prefer slightly moist soil — neither too dry nor waterlogged. The right watering schedule depends on how quickly the soil dries.
- Watering: moderate — let the top layer of soil dry between waterings.
- Water: room-temperature and low in limescale for both plants.
- Fertilizer: every 2 to 3 weeks in spring and summer with a gentle liquid fertilizer.
- Care: regularly dust the leaves with a soft, damp cloth.
The Peperomia is more sensitive to excess water than the Pilea — always wait until the surface is dry before watering, even in summer.
Decor ideas & plant pairings
The soothing roundness of the Pilea and the sophisticated reddish veins of the Peperomia Rosso create a balanced visual contrast — a duo that works just as well on its own as it does within a larger arrangement.
- Pairing: enhance the arrangement with a Syngonium Pixie or a Calathea Makoyana — the same needs, complementary foliage.
- Ideal decorative pots: a pair of matching white embossed ceramic decorative pots highlights the contrast between the two types of foliage without competing with them.
- Placement: place them side by side or at two different heights to play with volume and texture.
Verdeia tips
- Rotate the Pilea regularly — Pilea peperomioides naturally grows toward the light, and its leaves become asymmetrical if it is not rotated. A quarter turn once a week is enough to maintain the plant's characteristic round, balanced silhouette.
- Mist the Peperomia — not the Pilea — Peperomia Rosso appreciates light misting during dry spells to keep its veined leaves looking vibrant. The Pilea, on the other hand, prefers dry air — mist selectively or place a humidifier some distance away.
- Non-toxic duo — neither the Peperomia nor the Pilea poses a risk to cats, dogs, or children, making this an ideal duo for every home.

Will the plant look exactly like the photo?
The photos accurately represent the variety and the stated size. Since each plant is unique, slight differences in shape, foliage, or color may occur — and that’s part of their charm.
What are the delivery times and conditions?
Orders ship within 48 working hours, with tracked delivery in 2 to 5 working days via DPD. Shipping costs and the free-shipping threshold depend on your country — see our delivery page. You receive a tracking link as soon as your parcel leaves.
What should I do when my plant arrives?
Open your package as soon as you receive it and carefully remove the plant from its packaging. Let it acclimate for 24 hours in its new environment before watering. If it has been slightly stressed during transport, it will recover its shape after one or two days in the light.
What should I do if my plant arrives damaged?
Contact us within 48 hours with a photo of the issue. Our team will assess the situation and offer you the best solution: replacement, partial refund, or recovery advice.
Can I return a plant?
Since plants are living beings, standard returns are not possible. However, we guarantee good health upon delivery: if the plant arrives damaged, it will be replaced free of charge. For any other cases (order error, decorative pot, accessory), returns are possible within 14 days.
