🐾 Non-toxic to cats and dogs • 🌱 4 complementary plants • 🏙️ Urban indoor setting • 💧 Easy care • ✨ Design & natural • 📏 H20-40 cm | Pot Ø12 cm
The The pet-friendly plant box brings together 4 non-toxic indoor plants for cats and dogs, carefully selected for their safety, beauty, and complementary qualities. An airy parlor palm, a graphic Pilea, a red-veined Maranta, and a glossy-leaved coffee plant — together, they create a soft, harmonious mini jungle with no risk to your companions.
All these species are listed in our non-toxic plants for pets collection and among the easy-care non-toxic plants. With these plants, it is entirely possible to combine indoor plants and pets with complete peace of mind.
Included plants
- Chamaedorea elegans — H40 cm | Pot Ø12 cm: dwarf palm with light, airy foliage, one of the few palms that are non-toxic to pets. Adds volume and height without taking up much space.
- Pilea peperomioides — H20 cm | Pot Ø12 cm: Chinese money plant with round, glossy leaves and a compact, graphic shape. Non-toxic and very easy to propagate.
- Maranta leuconeura 'Fascinator' — H25 cm | Pot Ø12 cm: prayer plant with spectacular red veins against a deep green background. Its leaves fold up at night and unfold during the day — a fascinating and completely harmless movement.
- Coffea arabica — H30 cm | Pot Ø12 cm: indoor coffee plant with deep green, glossy foliage and a compact, structured shape. Non-toxic and decorative all year round.
The composition may vary slightly depending on seasonal availability — species are replaced with varieties equivalent in terms of shape, color, and confirmed non-toxicity.
Light & placement
These four plants all tolerate indirect light, making them particularly well suited to urban interiors without direct sunlight. The first few days matter: a few simple steps help you welcome new plants properly upon arrival.
- Light: soft indirect light to partial shade — east- or north-facing window, or a bright room without direct sun.
- Placement: living room, bedroom, office — any room with soft, stable light is suitable.
- Avoid: full summer sun, which can burn the most delicate leaves (Maranta, Pilea).
The Maranta is ideally placed in a bright bathroom — natural humidity recreates the conditions of its tropical habitat and intensifies the color of its red veins.
Watering & care
The four plants in the set have moderate, compatible watering needs — watering once a week is enough for the entire set. Watering indoor plants should be adjusted for each plant according to how quickly the substrate dries.
- Frequency: keep the substrate slightly moist — water when the surface begins to dry.
- In winter: space out watering to respect each plant's dormant period.
- Water: use lime-free water at room temperature, especially for the Maranta, which is sensitive to it.
- Humidity: mist the foliage once or twice a week, particularly for the Maranta and Chamaedorea.
Decor ideas & plant combinations
These four plants offer different heights and textures — together, they naturally create a balanced arrangement that can be enriched with other non-toxic species from the pet-friendly collection.
- For an instant arrangement on a console table, place the Chamaedorea at the back, the Coffea and Maranta in the middle, and the Pilea at the front — the three height levels create a full arrangement effortlessly and without risk to your pets.
- To add graphic appeal to the set, add a Calathea Ornata or a Chlorophytum variegatum — both are non-toxic and have highly complementary foliage.
- For a dense, pet-safe jungle effect, add, at the back of the arrangement, one of the large non-toxic plants.
- To enhance each plant, choose matte ceramic decorative pots in neutral tones — white, beige, or terracotta — that highlight the foliage without competing with the plants' colors.
Verdeia tips
- Mist with lime-free water at room temperature: Maranta leuconeura is particularly sensitive to limescale and cold water — brown spots on the edges of the leaves almost always indicate watering or misting with unsuitable water.
- Turn each pot a quarter turn every two weeks: the Chamaedorea and Coffea naturally grow toward the light — regular rotation ensures balanced growth and dense foliage on all sides.
- Group the four plants together to create a microclimate: even these moderately humidity-demanding species benefit from a shared atmosphere — when grouped together, they support one another and reduce the need for individual misting.

FAQ – Everything to know before adopting your Verdeia plant
How are my plants prepared before shipping?
All our plants are selected from our European partner nurseries. Before shipping, they are watered, cleaned, and protected with breathable, secure packaging. Each package is designed to ensure your plant arrives in perfect health, without any transport-related stress.
Will the plant look exactly like the photo?
The photos accurately represent the variety and the stated size. Since each plant is unique, slight differences in shape, foliage, or color may occur — and that’s part of their charm.
What are the delivery times and conditions?
Orders ship within 48 working hours, with tracked delivery in 2 to 5 working days via DPD. Shipping costs and the free-shipping threshold depend on your country — see our delivery page. You receive a tracking link as soon as your parcel leaves.
What should I do when my plant arrives?
Open your package as soon as you receive it and carefully remove the plant from its packaging. Let it acclimate for 24 hours in its new environment before watering. If it has been slightly stressed during transport, it will recover its shape after one or two days in the light.
What should I do if my plant arrives damaged?
Contact us within 48 hours with a photo of the issue. Our team will assess the situation and offer you the best solution: replacement, partial refund, or recovery advice.
Can I return a plant?
Since plants are living beings, standard returns are not possible. However, we guarantee good health upon delivery: if the plant arrives damaged, it will be replaced free of charge. For any other cases (order error, decorative pot, accessory), returns are possible within 14 days.
