The Jip basket is a decorative pot made from handwoven plant fibers, in a natural light brown tone that immediately warms up any plant arrangement. Its flared shape and slightly inward-curving rim keep the nursery pot securely in place, and it joins the natural fiber decorative pots in the catalog.
Its standout feature is its range of sizes: from Ø26 cm for a desk plant to Ø37 cm for a floor plant, the same weave and tone are used across all three formats, allowing you to line up several plants of different sizes without disrupting the visual harmony.
Which size should you choose?
Three formats, to choose according to the plant's nursery pot:
- Ø26 cm | H23 cm — for a nursery pot Ø21 to 24 cm. Desk and console plants.
- Ø30 cm | H25 cm — for a nursery pot Ø24 to 27 cm. Large shelf plants or small floor plants.
- Ø37 cm | H31 cm — for a nursery pot Ø31 to 34 cm. Large floor plants.
Always allow 2 to 4 cm more than the diameter of the nursery pot: if it is too tight, the pot can get stuck and become impossible to remove for watering.
Placement & use
Like all decorative pots made from plant fibers, the Jip basket is designed for indoor use: constant moisture and UV rays degrade the weave within a season outdoors.
- Use: indoor use only — living room, bedroom, office, entryway.
- Avoid: bathroom and terrace, where prolonged moisture damages the fibers.
- Principle: the plant remains in its nursery pot, which is simply placed inside the basket.
- Protection: a saucer beneath the nursery pot prevents watering water from reaching the fibers.
The basket has no drainage hole: never plant directly in it, as the soil would retain water and cause the roots to rot.
Care
Natural fibers require little care, but they are just as sensitive to standing water as the roots of the plants they hold. It is better to remove the pot for watering rather than pour water directly into the basket.
- Cleaning: dry cloth or soft brush — never use soapy water, which stiffens and discolors the weave.
- Moisture: wipe up any spilled water immediately, as wet fibers quickly develop mold.
- Watering: remove the nursery pot, water it, let it drain, then put it back in place.
- Lifespan: several years in a dry indoor environment, only a few months in a humid setting.
A small plastic saucer placed at the bottom of the basket is enough to catch spills and significantly extend its lifespan.
Decor ideas & plant pairings
The light brown fibers work with almost any foliage and are particularly effective at softening plants with graphic forms or sharp lines.

The photos accurately represent the variety and the stated size. Since each plant is unique, slight differences in shape, foliage, or color may occur — and that’s part of their charm.
What are the delivery times and conditions?
Shipping is done within 48 business hours, with tracked delivery within 2 to 5 business days. Delivery costs €5.60 — free for orders over €50. You will receive a tracking link as soon as the package is shipped.
What to do upon receiving my plant?
Open your package as soon as you receive it and carefully remove the plant from its packaging. Let it acclimate for 24 hours in its new environment before watering. If it has been slightly stressed during transport, it will recover its shape after one or two days in the light.
What to do if my plant arrives damaged?
Contact us within 48 hours with a photo of the issue. Our team will assess the situation and offer you the best solution: replacement, partial refund, or recovery advice.
Can I return a plant?
Since plants are living beings, standard returns are not possible. However, we guarantee good health upon delivery: if the plant arrives damaged, it will be replaced free of charge. For any other cases (order error, decorative pot, accessory), returns are possible within 14 days.
