The Maranta leuconeura 'Fascinator Silverband' has oval, marbled green leaves crossed by a broad central silver band, borne on stems that transition from light green to deep brown. A species native to the humid tropical forests of Brazil, it joins the Maranta collection in the catalog.
Its distinctive feature compared with other Marantas is this light-colored band: while the classic 'Fascinator' relies on bright red veins, Silverband plays with a more subtle silver contrast that follows the central vein. Its leaves rise in the evening and lower in the morning, a characteristic movement of the genus.

Light & placement
An understory plant, the Maranta grows beneath the tree canopy in its native habitat. Direct sun fades the silver band and scorches the leaf blade, while insufficient light causes the leaves to spread apart and dulls the marbling.

- Location: bathroom, bedroom, office, or shelf away from windows — far from radiators and drafts.
