🌿 Palmate leaves with 5 to 7 leaflets • 📏 2 heights: 150 or 180 cm • 🪵 Textured bark-like trunk • 🌑 No light or watering needed • 🐾 Non-toxic to pets • ✨ Green all year round
The artificial Pachira captures the look of Pachira aquatica, the money tree: a textured, bark-like trunk carries a dense, rounded crown of palmate leaves, each divided into five to seven glossy leaflets in mid to light green. These shades of green and the star-shaped pattern of the leaves give it a realistic look, even up close.
It comes in 150 cm, with two slightly intertwined trunks, and in 180 cm, with a branching trunk, and is offered as foliage only, for a green, understated decor. Among our artificial plants, it is a true indoor tree: it keeps its leaves and colour all year round, whether in a dark room or an air-conditioned office.
Which height should you choose?
The two heights share the same model, with a different trunk habit — here's how to choose depending on the spot:
- 150 cm: two textured trunks rising from the base and slightly intertwined, beneath a dense, rounded crown. For a bedroom, an entryway or a living room corner. Delivered in a Ø17 cm pot.
- 180 cm: a trunk that divides into a second, thinner stem, for a branching tree silhouette. To dress a large corner, a hallway or a reception area with a high ceiling. Delivered in a Ø15 cm pot.
For a more natural green corner, pair the two heights: the 180 cm at the back and the 150 cm in front, slightly offset.
Artificial or real pachira?
The artificial Pachira brings the palmate crown of the money tree to places where a real plant would lack light: hallway, windowless bathroom, office far from the windows, holiday home. It also comes in heights of 150 and 180 cm, whereas our living Pachira plants are delivered between 45 and 90 cm tall.
If your room gets bright indirect light and you enjoy watching a plant grow, our living Pachira plants remain a safe bet: the braided-trunk Pachira aquatica, in H70 or H90 cm, the multi-trunk Pachira aquatica, with straight trunks planted side by side, and, in a compact 45 cm size, the Pachira in a black ceramic pot or the Pachira in a woven basket.
Where to place it?
As it needs no light, it can go wherever it makes the most impact, even far from a window.
- Dark rooms: hallway, entryway, windowless bathroom, corner far from the windows.
- Workspaces: office, waiting room, reception, shop window.
- Living spaces: living room, bedroom, dining room, next to a sofa or a bookcase.
- Avoid: prolonged direct sun behind glass, which fades the colours over time, and placing it right next to a radiator.
It is designed for indoor use: on a balcony or terrace, sun and rain would damage its leaves.
Setting up & care
When it arrives, take a few minutes to give it its final shape: that's what makes the difference between a stiff artificial plant and a pachira that looks alive.
- Shaping: spread the stems of the crown slightly apart and turn the leaves in several directions, at different heights.
- Dusting: a quick pass with a feather duster or soft cloth from time to time.
- Cleaning: a slightly damp cloth over the leaves, then a dry cloth.
- Over time: it lasts from one year to the next, with no repotting or fertiliser.
Open out the leaflets of each star-shaped leaf, as on a real Pachira: the result instantly looks more natural.
Decor ideas & pairings
Its palmate leaves add a tropical touch, and it lends itself to arrangements, colors, and textures just like a real plant.
- For a contemporary finish, slip the pot into the Elho B.for Soft Anthracite decorative pot in Ø18 cm, for either height — the matt anthracite brings out the green of the leaves and the texture of the trunk.
- For a contrast of foliage, place our artificial Kentia, our artificial Magnolia grandiflora, our artificial Dracaena reflexa, our artificial eucalyptus, our artificial Monstera deliciosa or our artificial Ficus lyrata next to it — their light fronds and their large smooth, striped, grey-green, cut or fiddle-shaped leaves echo the star-shaped leaves of the pachira.
In front of a white wall or a neutral background, the star-shaped pattern of the leaves stands out clearly and gives the room structure.
Verdeia tips

Will the plant look exactly like the photo?
The photos accurately represent the variety and the stated size. Since each plant is unique, slight differences in shape, foliage, or color may occur — and that’s part of their charm.

What should I do when my plant arrives?
Open your package as soon as you receive it and carefully remove the plant from its packaging. Let it acclimate for 24 hours in its new environment before watering. If it has been slightly stressed during transport, it will recover its shape after one or two days in the light.
What should I do if my plant arrives damaged?
Contact us within 48 hours with a photo of the issue. Our team will assess the situation and offer you the best solution: replacement, partial refund, or recovery advice.
