🌿 Narrow green and yellow striped leaves • 📏 3 heights: 130, 155 or 190 cm • 🌳 Textured, branching brown trunk • 🌑 No light or watering needed • 🐾 Non-toxic to pets • ✨ Green all year round
The artificial Dracaena reflexa captures the look of the Song of India: narrow leaves striped green and yellow, gathered in rosettes at the tips of the branches, on a textured brown trunk that branches out. This contrast of green and yellow gives it a realistic, bright look, even up close.
It comes in 130, 155 and 190 cm, with a silhouette that may vary slightly from one height to another. Among our artificial plants, it is one of the most colourful: it keeps its leaves and colour all year round, whether in a dark room or an air-conditioned office.
Which height should you choose?
The three heights share the same model, with a silhouette that may vary slightly — here's how to choose depending on the spot:
- 130 cm: branching trunk and rosettes of leaves at the tips of the branches. For a bedroom, an entryway or next to an armchair. Delivered in a Ø14 cm pot.
- 155 cm: the same branching habit, only taller. For a living room corner, an office or next to a bookcase. Delivered in a Ø12 cm pot.
- 190 cm: an extra, lower branch that fills out the bottom of the silhouette. To dress a large corner, a hallway or a reception area with a high ceiling. Delivered in a Ø17 cm pot.
For a more natural green corner, pair two heights: the 190 cm at the back and the 130 cm in front, slightly offset.
Artificial or real Dracaena reflexa?
The artificial Dracaena reflexa brings the striped leaves of the Song of India to places where a real plant would lack light: hallway, windowless bathroom, office far from the windows, holiday home. If your room is bright and you enjoy watching a plant grow, our Dracaena fragrans 'Golden Coast', with its golden variegated foliage, remains a safe bet.
Where to place it?
As it needs no light, it can go wherever it makes the most impact, even far from a window.
- Dark rooms: hallway, entryway, windowless bathroom, corner far from the windows.
- Workspaces: office, waiting room, reception, shop window.
- Living spaces: living room, bedroom, dining room, next to a sofa or a bookcase.
- Avoid: prolonged direct sun behind glass, which fades the colours over time, and placing it right next to a radiator.
It is designed for indoor use: on a balcony or terrace, sun and rain would damage its leaves.
Setting up & care
When it arrives, take a few minutes to give it its final shape: that's what makes the difference between a stiff artificial plant and a dragon tree that looks alive.
- Shaping: spread the branches slightly apart and turn the leaf rosettes in several directions, at different heights.
- Dusting: a quick pass with a feather duster or soft cloth from time to time.
- Cleaning: a slightly damp cloth over the leaves, then a dry cloth.
- Over time: it lasts from one year to the next, with no repotting or fertiliser.
Tilt a few rosettes forward, like a real plant turning towards the light: the result instantly looks more natural.
Decor ideas & pairings
Its green and yellow striped leaves add a bright touch, and it lends itself to arrangements, colors, and textures just like a real plant.
- For a contemporary finish, slip the pot into the Elho B.for Soft Anthracite decorative pot, in Ø16 cm for the 130 cm and Ø18 cm for the 190 cm — the matt anthracite brings out the yellow of the leaves.
- For a touch of colour, dress the 155 cm in the Elho Jazz Round decorative pot in amber yellow in Ø14 cm — its warm shade echoes the yellow stripes of the foliage.
- For a contrast of foliage, place our artificial eucalyptus or our artificial Monstera deliciosa next to it — their grey-green or deep-green foliage echoes the narrow, striped leaves of the dragon tree.
- For a console or table, add a bouquet from our selection of artificial flowers and bouquets, which won't wilt either.
In front of a white wall or a neutral background, the yellow stripes of the foliage stand out clearly and warm up the room.
