🌿 Shiny dark green foliage • 🌸 Long-lasting white flowers • ☀️ Partial shade to shade • 💧 Regular watering • 🏙️ Medium size
Native to the tropical forests of Central and South America, the Spathiphyllum 'Sweet Silvana' is the medium size in the Sweet range — same elegance, same shiny dark green foliage, same long-lasting white spathes as the 'Sweet Sebastiano', in a more accessible size for standard living rooms and offices. Its white spathe flowers bloom regularly throughout the year among our large indoor plants and our plants for partial shade.
Which Spathiphyllum variety to choose?
Our catalog offers several Spathiphyllum varieties — the choice mainly depends on the size of the available space:
- Spathiphyllum 'Sweet Silvana' (this plant) — medium size, dense habit and abundant flowering (H80 cm | Pot Ø24 cm). The perfect balance between presence and compactness for most interiors.
- Spathiphyllum 'Sweet Sebastiano' — the largest in the Sweet range (H110 cm | Pot Ø24 cm). The most majestic version for large entrances and living rooms.
- Spathiphyllum 'Bellini' — large and very bushy (H100 cm | Pot Ø24 cm). The most voluminous version.
- Spathiphyllum 'Vivaldi' — compact medium size (H70 cm | Pot Ø17 cm). The most accessible version for an apartment.
- Spathiphyllum 'Torelli' — compact size with dense foliage (H65 cm | Pot Ø17 cm). The ideal version for small spaces and offices.
- Spathiphyllum 'Bingo Cupido' — small and very floriferous (Pot Ø12 cm). The most compact version.
Light & location
- Light: partial shade to bright shade — one of the few flowering plants that thrives without much light. However, bright indirect light encourages more abundant flowering.
- Ideal: living room, bedroom, bright bathroom, or office away from windows.
- Temperature: 18 to 25 °C, without sudden changes or drafts.
- Substrate: rich, light, and well-drained — potting soil for green plants mixed with perlite.
Watering & care
- Watering: regular — keep the substrate slightly moist without ever soaking it. Use filtered or rainwater — hard water gradually browns leaf edges. The Spathiphyllum signals water shortage by drooping its leaves.
- Drainage: essential — pot with drainage holes and no standing water in the saucer.
- Humidity: prefers 60–70% humidity — mist the foliage regularly.
- Fertilizer: every 2 to 3 weeks in spring and summer, diluted liquid fertilizer.
- Care: remove faded flowers at the base to encourage new blooms.
Decor ideas & plant combinations
- On an entry console: its 80 cm size offers an immediate presence without cluttering the space — pair it with a graphic Calathea placed on the floor for an elegant two-level vertical composition.
- In the bedroom: its white flowers and shiny foliage create a zen and calming atmosphere — it is one of the most long-lasting and easy-care flowering plants for a resting space.
- Ideal pot: matte white ceramic for a color echo with the white spathes, or natural Selin basket for a more organic and warm vibe.
Verdeia tips
- Water at the first signs of leaf drooping: the Spathiphyllum tolerates occasional neglect and recovers quickly, but repeated water stress weakens the plant and reduces flowering long-term — respond at the first signal.
- Remove faded flowers as soon as they turn green: a discolored spathe should be cut at the base of its stem — this triggers the production of a new flower stem and maintains continuous flowering throughout the year.
- Repot every 2 years in spring: into a slightly larger pot with fresh substrate — take this opportunity to divide the clump by separating side rosettes if the plant has become very dense.

Our Verdeia commitments
FAQ – Everything to know before adopting your Verdeia plant
How are my plants prepared before shipping?
All our plants are selected from our European partner nurseries. Before shipping, they are watered, cleaned, and protected with breathable, secure packaging. Each package is designed to ensure your plant arrives in perfect health, without any transport-related stress.
Will the plant look exactly like the photo?
The photos accurately represent the variety and the stated size. Since each plant is unique, slight differences in shape, foliage, or color may occur — and that’s part of their charm.
What are the delivery times and conditions?
Shipping is done within 48 business hours, with tracked delivery within 2 to 5 business days. Delivery costs €5.60 — free for orders over €50. You will receive a tracking link as soon as the package is shipped.
What to do upon receiving my plant?
Open your package as soon as you receive it and carefully remove the plant from its packaging. Let it acclimate for 24 hours in its new environment before watering. If it has been slightly stressed during transport, it will recover its shape after one or two days in the light.
What to do if my plant arrives damaged?
Contact us within 48 hours with a photo of the issue. Our team will assess the situation and offer you the best solution: replacement, partial refund, or recovery advice.
Can I return a plant?
Since plants are living beings, standard returns are not possible. However, we guarantee good health upon delivery: if the plant arrives damaged, it will be replaced free of charge. For any other cases (order error, decorative pot, accessory), returns are possible within 14 days.
