🌿 Set of 20 air plants • 🌱 No soil or pot • 💧 Regular misting • ✨ Large DIY projects and events • 🐾 Non-toxic
The Tillandsia Air mix is a set of 20 epiphytic air plants native to the tropical forests and deserts of Central and South America. No soil, no pot, no hassle — they absorb water and nutrients directly through their leaves. Each set contains a mix of varieties from Ionantha, Argentea, Gardneri and Oaxacana, all approximately Ø6 cm.
Non-toxic, 20 plants for creating multiple installations, event decorations, or DIY workshops. Combine them with unusual plants and terrarium plants.
Which set should you choose?
Tillandsia Air mix is available in several formats depending on your project:
- Set of 5 - starter format for beginners or creating a first arrangement.
- Set of 10 - intermediate format, ideal for several arrangements or multiple gifts.
- Set of 20 (this product) - XXL format for large installations, events, DIY workshops, or resale. The best unit price.
- Tillandsia King Xero - large single plant, H23 cm, with spectacular silver leaves. The statement piece.
- Tillandsia Cyanea - spectacular pink flowering variety, H38 cm.
- Tillandsia set on LED stand — 2 plants on a light-up stand, ready to display.
- Kokodama Tillandsia mix - 8 Tillandsia on kokodama supports, ready to hang.
Why choose the set of 20? This is the format for ambitious projects — events, weddings, creative workshops, art installations, or simply building a collection of varied arrangements. It offers the best unit price of the three sets.
Display & placement
Tillandsia enjoy bright indirect light and good air circulation — two essential conditions. Their ideal location depends on the balance between light and humidity.
- Exposure: bright indirect light - avoid direct sun in summer.
- Ideal: near a window, hanging, on a shelf, or in an open terrarium.
- Temperature: 15 to 25 °C - tolerates moderate fluctuations.
- Support: no substrate - place them on shells, pebbles, driftwood, or hang them with transparent line.
- Air circulation: essential - avoid enclosed spaces without ventilation.
Watering & care
Tillandsia are watered through their leaves. Most important point: always dry them upside down after each watering - stagnant water in the center causes rot.
- Misting: 2 to 3 times a week with rainwater or filtered water.
- Soaking: once every 2 weeks, soak for 20 to 30 minutes in water at room temperature.
- Drying: gently shake them and let them dry upside down in a ventilated area.
- Summer: increase to 3 to 4 mistings per week.
- Fertilizer: optional - once a month in spring and summer with highly diluted orchid fertilizer (1/4 dose).
Curling leaves = thirst. Browning tips = air that is too dry. Two simple signs to help you adjust your care.
Decor ideas & DIY creations
With 20 Tillandsia, you can carry out several large-scale projects simultaneously - hanging installations, event decorations, creative workshops, series of gifts.
- Events & weddings: table centerpieces, hanging decorations, guest favors - 20 plants easily cover a small event.
- DIY workshops: organize creative workshops to learn how to create arrangements with air plants - each participant leaves with their creation.
- Spectacular hanging installation: hang them at different heights with transparent fishing line to create a floating aerial garden.
- Plant wall: attach them to wire mesh or a wooden frame to create a large, living botanical display.
- Series of gifts: give them individually with a personalized shell or stand - 20 plants, 20 original gifts.
To secure them without damaging them, naturally wedging them into a crack or seashell is preferable to glue — the plants remain easier to remove for water baths.
Verdeia tips
- Always dry them after soaking — turn them upside down for 1 to 2 hours after each soak to drain the water from the center of the rosette. This is the most important step to prevent rot, the only real danger for these plants.
- Rainwater or filtered water only — limescale and chlorine in tap water clog the trichomes that allow the leaves to absorb water. With tap water, the plants gradually weaken for no apparent reason.
- Store unused plants properly — with 20 Tillandsia, you may not use all the plants immediately. Keep them in a bright, well-ventilated place, mist them regularly, and avoid airtight plastic bags, which cause rot.
- Some varieties may flower — Ionantha turns bright red just before flowering. Flowering occurs only once in the mother plant's life, but it produces offsets at its base. Detach them when they reach one third of the mother's size.

FAQ – Everything to know before adopting your Verdeia plant
How are my plants prepared before shipping?
All our plants are selected from our European partner nurseries. Before shipping, they are watered, cleaned, and protected with breathable, secure packaging. Each package is designed to ensure your plant arrives in perfect health, without any transport-related stress.
Will the plant look exactly like the photo?
The photos accurately represent the variety and the stated size. Since each plant is unique, slight differences in shape, foliage, or color may occur — and that’s part of their charm.
What are the delivery times and conditions?
Orders ship within 48 working hours, with tracked delivery in 2 to 5 working days via DPD. Shipping costs and the free-shipping threshold depend on your country — see our delivery page. You receive a tracking link as soon as your parcel leaves.
What should I do when my plant arrives?
Open your package as soon as you receive it and carefully remove the plant from its packaging. Let it acclimate for 24 hours in its new environment before watering. If it has been slightly stressed during transport, it will recover its shape after one or two days in the light.
What should I do if my plant arrives damaged?
Contact us within 48 hours with a photo of the issue. Our team will assess the situation and offer you the best solution: replacement, partial refund, or recovery advice.
Can I return a plant?
Since plants are living beings, standard returns are not possible. However, we guarantee good health upon delivery: if the plant arrives damaged, it will be replaced free of charge. For any other cases (order error, decorative pot, accessory), returns are possible within 14 days.
