🍂 Large bronze-green leaves with copper undersides • 📏 H120 cm, 125 cm spread • 🌱 Long, bendable reddish-brown stems • 🌑 No light or watering needed • 🐾 Non-toxic to pets • ✨ Colours that last all year round
The Artificial red philodendron captures the look of self-supporting red-leaved philodendrons: long reddish-brown stems rise from a moss-covered base and carry large, entire, elongated heart-shaped leaves, bronze-green to glossy olive green on top and copper underneath. A few aerial roots at the base and the pronounced leaf veins give it a realistic look, even up close.
Standing 120 cm tall with a spread of about 125 cm, it forms a broad cluster of leaves that dresses a corner of the room on its own. Among our artificial plants, it brings warm bronze and copper tones and keeps them all year round, whether in a dark room or an air-conditioned office.
Artificial or real red philodendron?
The artificial red philodendron brings the colours of a red philodendron to places where a real plant would lack light: hallway, windowless bathroom, office far from the windows, holiday home. Its colours stay the same all year round, whereas a living red philodendron turns more bronze-green in partial shade; it also reaches 120 cm, while our living red philodendrons are delivered at 45 to 80 cm tall.
If your room gets bright indirect light and you enjoy watching a plant grow, our living philodendrons with colourful foliage remain a safe bet: the Philodendron 'Imperial Red', with large chocolate-burgundy leaves on red petioles, the Philodendron Congo Red, with dark green leaves and burgundy highlights, in 80 cm, and the Philodendron 'Prince of Orange', with copper-orange young leaves.
Where to place it?
As it needs no light, it can go wherever it makes the most impact, even far from a window.
- Dark rooms: hallway, entryway, windowless bathroom, corner far from the windows.
- Workspaces: office, waiting room, reception, shop window.
- Living spaces: living room, bedroom, dining room, next to a sofa or a bookcase.
- Space needed: about 125 cm wide, so the leaves can open freely without touching a wall or a piece of furniture.
- Avoid: prolonged direct sun behind glass, which fades the colours over time, and placing it right next to a radiator.
It is designed for indoor use: on a balcony or terrace, sun and rain would damage its leaves.
Setting up & care
When it arrives, take a few minutes to give it its final shape: that's what makes the difference between a stiff artificial plant and a philodendron that looks alive.
- Shaping: the stems bend by hand; spread them slightly apart from the base and turn the leaves in several directions, at different heights.
- Dusting: a quick pass with a feather duster or soft cloth from time to time.
- Cleaning: a slightly damp cloth over the leaves, then a dry cloth.
- Over time: it lasts from one year to the next, with no repotting or fertiliser.
Turn a few leaves to reveal their copper undersides, as on a real red philodendron: the result instantly looks more natural.
Decor ideas & pairings
Its large bronze-green leaves with copper undersides add a warm touch, and it lends itself to arrangements, colors, and textures just like a real plant.
- For a contemporary finish, slip the pot into the Elho B.for Soft Anthracite decorative pot in Ø18 cm — the matt anthracite brings out the copper of the undersides and the reddish brown of the stems.
- For a philodendron duo, place our Artificial Philodendron selloum next to it — its deeply split green leaves echo the large, entire, bronze leaves of the red philodendron.
- To extend the copper highlights, pair it with our artificial Magnolia grandiflora, whose large dark green leaves also have copper undersides.
- For a contrast of foliage, add our artificial Pachira, our artificial Kentia, our artificial Dracaena reflexa, our artificial eucalyptus, our artificial Monstera deliciosa or our artificial Ficus lyrata — their palmate leaves, their light fronds and their striped, grey-green, perforated or fiddle-shaped leaves bring out the warm tones of the red philodendron.
- For a console or table, add a bouquet from our selection of artificial flowers and bouquets, which won't wilt either.
In front of a light-colored, white, or beige wall, its dark foliage stands out like a graphic silhouette.

Will the plant look exactly like the photo?
The photos accurately represent the variety and the stated size. Since each plant is unique, slight differences in shape, foliage, or color may occur — and that’s part of their charm.

What should I do when my plant arrives?
Open your package as soon as you receive it and carefully remove the plant from its packaging. Let it acclimate for 24 hours in its new environment before watering. If it has been slightly stressed during transport, it will recover its shape after one or two days in the light.
