🌿 Green and cream variegated foliage • 🎨 Unique marbling • ☀️ Bright indirect light • 💧 Moderate watering
The Philodendron Diamond Variegata stands out with its green and cream variegated foliage featuring unique marbling — each leaf is different, making it a true collector's plant. Native to the tropical forests of South America, it naturally climbs trees in humid understories. Discover our full selection in the Philodendron collection.
The Diamond Variegata variety is especially sought after for the intensity of its cream variegation, more pronounced than on standard variegated Philodendrons — the brighter the ambient light (without direct sun), the more vibrant the cream patches. Check out our Philodendron vs Monstera guide to choose the ideal plant for your space.
Exposure & Location
The Philodendron Diamond Variegata needs bright indirect light to maintain the intensity of its cream variegation. In partial shade, the foliage gradually turns green and loses its brightness.
- Exposure: bright indirect light — window without direct sun.
- Ideal for: bright living room, office, well-lit entryway.
- Temperature: 18 to 27 °C, without sudden changes or drafts.
- Substrate: lightweight universal potting soil with perlite, well-draining.
Watering & Care
- Watering: moderate — allow the top 3 to 5 cm of substrate to dry out between waterings.
- Frequency: about once a week in spring-summer, once every two weeks in winter.
- Drainage: essential — pot with drainage holes and saucer, draining substrate.
- Humidity: prefers a humid atmosphere (50–70%) — mist the foliage or group plants together.
- Fertilizer: once a month in spring and summer, diluted liquid fertilizer for green plants.
- Cleaning: gently wipe leaves with a damp cloth to preserve the brightness of the variegation.
Decor Ideas & Plant Pairings
Its cream patches on a green background create a bright contrast that stands out especially well against dark, dense foliage.
- Pair with: a Philodendron melanochrysum with very dark velvety green foliage — the contrast between the two variegations creates a graphic and coherent composition within the same botanical genre.
- Decorative pot: a matte black or anthracite ceramic highlights the cream patches of the foliage — avoid white which diminishes the contrast.
- Complete with: a Philodendron Birkin with graphic white stripes to compose a variegated trio with the Philodendron White Princess.
Verdeia Tips
- Bright light = vibrant variegation: place it within 2 meters of a window without direct sun — this is the golden rule to maintain the cream intensity of the foliage.
- Clean leaves regularly: dust dulls the brightness of the variegation — a monthly wipe with a slightly damp cloth is enough.
- Rotate the pot monthly: for even growth and balanced foliage in all directions.

Will the plant look exactly like the photo?
The photos accurately represent the variety and the stated size. Since each plant is unique, slight differences in shape, foliage, or color may occur — and that’s part of their charm.
What are the delivery times and conditions?
Shipping is done within 48 business hours, with tracked delivery within 2 to 5 business days. Delivery costs €5.60 — free for orders over €50. You will receive a tracking link as soon as the package is shipped.
What to do upon receiving my plant?
Open your package as soon as you receive it and carefully remove the plant from its packaging. Let it acclimate for 24 hours in its new environment before watering. If it has been slightly stressed during transport, it will recover its shape after one or two days in the light.
What to do if my plant arrives damaged?
Contact us within 48 hours with a photo of the issue. Our team will assess the situation and offer you the best solution: replacement, partial refund, or recovery advice.
Can I return a plant?
Since plants are living beings, standard returns are not possible. However, we guarantee good health upon delivery: if the plant arrives damaged, it will be replaced free of charge. For any other cases (order error, decorative pot, accessory), returns are possible within 14 days.
